When Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) makes its debut in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, tonight (Sat., July 21, 2012), it will do so with UFC 149: "Faber vs. Barao," featuring an interim bantamweight championship showdown pitting Urijah Faber against Renan Barao.
And while it's become cliche to say as much, this truly is the biggest fight in Faber's career. He knows it, too:
"It's going to be a war of tenacity. This is a huge fight, the most important fight of my life. I'm so ready to have that belt around my waist."
Barao, a young lion who knows he deserves this spot, is simply looking forward to a crowning achievement.
"It's going to be a dream come true. A great day and years of work paying off. I will defeat Urijah Faber."
