Former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) Featherweight Champion, Urijah Faber, will head north of the border to challenge for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) interim bantamweight championship when he takes on Renan Barao in the main event of UFC 149 on Sat., July 21, 2012, at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
It's no rubber match against Dominick Cruz but it'll do.
Thanks to an unprecedented run of injuries and bad luck, the rest of the main card looks nothing like it did when it was first created. Gone are the likes of Shogun Rua, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and Thiago Alves, replaced by the likes of Hector Lombard, Shawn Jordan and Matt Riddle.
