The bantamweights were in action at tonight's (Wed., July 11, 2012) UFC on FUEL TV 4: "Munoz vs. Weidman" event taking place at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, as T.J. Dillashaw took on Vaughan Lee.
Dillashaw looked great on his way through The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 but lost in the final. He rebounded with a win over Walel Watson, leading to this match-up against the unheralded but game Lee.
Make it two in a row.
Dillashaw used his superior wrestling to dump Lee before jumping his back and locking on a fight ending rear-naked choke submission. "I weathered the storm, waited for the right opportunity to take him down, used the choke, cinched it in and finished it this time," he said.
Indeed.
Dillashaw came out fast and furious but ran into a few punches and quickly went to his strength -- his wrestling. It wasn't long after that he grabbed a quick takedown.
The beginning of the end.
He took Lee's back and before you knew it, he was straddling the Brit while standing, hanging on and looking for the rear-naked choke submission at the same time.
I'll be damned if he didn't get it.
