UFC on FX 3 results: Mike Pyle knocked out Josh Neer because he didn't feel like being there anymore (Video)

When Mike Pyle landed a hail mary knockout punch on Josh Neer at UFC on FX 3: "Johnson vs. McCall" last night (Fri., June 8, 2012) in Sunrise, Florida, it was shocking, to say the least. Even more shocking? Pyle's explanation for it.

"I just knew we were going to be in a scrap and I just didn't feel like being there anymore so I tried to hit him with everything I had those last two shots and it worked. I knew I threw two of them. I know I started with the left, I wasn't sure if the left hit him or the right hit him but obviously it was the right. That's what my coach said. ... While he was trying to hurt me real bad, I could see that there were openings and I was just trying to wait and it just seemed like it wasn't the right time. And then it was like, 'okay, I've had enough, I'm going to try it now.' And it worked."

Sometimes it really is better to be lucky than good.
