UFC 146 gate totals $3,428,775 with 11,428 tickets sold for 'Dos Santos vs Mir' on May 26 in Las Vegas

UFC 146: "Dos Santos vs. Mir," which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 26, 2012, tallied a live gate of $3,428,775, according to official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released yesterday.

The final attendance of 14,674 was the result of 11,428 tickets sold and 3,246 complimentary tickets, while 276 seats remained empty.

UFC 146 featured the first successful title defense of Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos, who stopped Frank Mir en route to a technical knockout victory.

Former division titleholder Cain Velasquez may have earned himself a rematch against "Cigano" by pounding out Antonio Silva in the co-main event of the evening.

Roy Nelson got back into the good graces with the powers that be by knocking out Dave Herman while Stefan Struve survived a missile attack to tap out Lavar Johnson.
