The second Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) verse will hopefully be nothing like the first for Kenny Robertson.

Robertson has been tapped to replace the injured Jon Fitch (full injury details here) opposite former Middleweight Aaron Simpson on the main card of UFC on FUEL TV 4, which is scheduled to take place at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., on July 11, 2012.

"A-Train" posted the revised Welterweight mixed martial arts (MMA) match up, his first at 170 pounds inside the Octagon, earlier this afternoon.

Simpson has spent his entire career as a 185-pound fighter, rattling off eight straight wins before consecutive losses to Chris Leben and Mark Munoz in 2010, sending him tumbling down the divisional ladder. A fresh start at a lighter weight could prove to be the turning point in his professional fight career.

And he now gets to do it against a winless (0-1) UFC fighter rather than a former number one division contender.

Robertson debuted for the promotion back at UFC 126 in Feb. 2011, getting wiped out by Mike Pierce via technical knockout in round two. He rebounded with a spinning backlist knockout out of nowhere against Lucio Linhares at Fight Festival 31 late last year.

The Central Illinois Combat Club-trained fighter would like to duplicate that effort, if it's even possible, against the wrestling-minded Simpson on relatively short notice.

UFC on FUEL TV 4 will feature a middleweight main event of Mark Munoz vs. Chris Weidman with the number one division contender position in the 185-pound division on the line.

A Light Heavyweight bout that pits Brandon Vera vs. James Te Huna is also expected to take place in the "Shark Tank" on fight night, as well as a potential lightweight war between Anthony Njokuani vs. Rafael dos Anjos.
