Video: Chael Sonnen goes ‘Full Blast’ for Dan Henderson vs Shogun Rua at UFC 139

On Nov. 19, 2011, at UFC 139, mixed martial arts (MMA) fans were treated to one of the greatest fights in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) history as Mauricio Rua and Dan Henderson put on a show for the ages.

The two Light Heavyweight's had never competed against one another during their time spent competing in the now-defunct PRIDE FC organization in Japan. So far "hardcore" fan across the globe, this was a dream match years in the making.

And it all unfolded in today's greatest proving grounds of them all inside the Octagon.

For five full rounds, the two fought tooth-and-nail in a battle of will and perseverance that saw both competitors have shining moments, with each coming close to ending the fight. When it was all said and done, it was "Hendo" who earned the unanimous decision victory, though it was clear that the fans were the true winners that night.

Number one Middleweight contender Chael Sonnen, who takes on Anderson Silva at UFC 148 on July 7, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, was in attendance to witness the historic bout and gave us his first-hand view and commentary of all the action that went down in San Jose, Calif., for Fuel TV's Ultimate Insider "Full Blast."

Enjoy.
