Super Fight League Announces Fall Bouts

The promotion with the original theme song returns with some fights announced.

Super Fight League, the India-based promotion which has recruited some of the top 'non-UFC' fighters such as Bobby Lashley, James Thompson, Alexander Shlemenko, Todd Duffee, Trevor Prangley and Bob Sapp.

SFL has held three events to date (SFL 1, SFL 2 and SFL 3) which have drawn live crowds ranging from 2,500-12,500 and all shows are planned to be in India. The promotion also has a three-year contract to air it's events live on popular video viewing site, Youtube.

On September 8th, 2012 the promotion has penciled in 'SFL 4' and it is a heavyweight extravaganza headlining the event. UFC veterans Todd Duffee (7-2) and Jeff Monson (46-13) will square off in the 'O-zone' cage as the evenings main event. Monson, is currently running a thee-fight win streak since his decision loss to Fedor Emelianenko in Russia. Duffee ended a two fight losing streak when he knocked out Bellator/UFC vet Neil Grove at SFL 2 this past April.

SFL 5 (Oct.6) also has recently signed fighters as Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (12-10) goes against South African wrestler Trevor Prangley (25-9-1). Sokoudjou hasn't fought in 2012 and was last seen challenging Maximum Fighting Championship (MFC) light heavyweight champion and recent UFC signee Ryan Jimmo, dropping a close decision. Prangley, who has fought in almost every noteworthy promotion was last seen making his SFL debut by defeating Baga Agaev by knockout.

Satoshi Ishii (4-2) is also planned to fight on the October card but no opponent has been announced as of yet. Ishii was last seen being made part of a Fedor highlight reel at 'Fight For Japan: Genki Desu Ka Omisoka 2011'. The world class Judoka player was knocked out in the first round against the fromer PRIDE FC heavyweight champion but looks to advance in the sport.
