Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) today (June 19, 2012) added a pair of welterweights to its upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 5 event scheduled for the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England on Sept. 29, 2012.
Duane Ludwig has been asked to "Bang" it out against local talent Che Mills when the promotion heads across the pond, according to a recent tweet from the Trojan Free Fighter.
Ludwig (21-13) is coming off back-to-back losses to Josh Neer (UFC on FX) and Dan Hardy (UFC 146). To compound the problem, he was finished off by both "The Dentist" and "The Outlaw" inside the opening frame. It's time to win or go home, possibly for good.
Mills (14-5) was riding a "Beautiful" five-fight winning streak, until he ran into the seeming unstoppable 170-pound phenom known as Rory MacDonald. A trip back to England to compete in front of a hometown crowd may be just what the doctor ordered.
UFC on FUEL TV 5 will be headlined by a heavyweight battle pitting Stefan Struve vs. Stipe Miocic. In addition, bantamweight brawler Brad Pickett will take on Yves Jabouin while The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15: "Live" contestant Andy Ogle goes to war against fellow lightweight and TUF veteran Akira Corassani.
