Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 gate totals $195,250 with 954 tickets sold for 'Ellenberger vs Kampmann' on June 1 in Las Vegas

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 Finale, which took place at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 1, 2012, tallied a live gate of $195,250, according to official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) that were released earlier today.

The final attendance of 1,628 for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) mixed martial arts (MMA) event was the result of 954 tickets sold and 674 complimentary tickets, while 514 seats remained empty.

And that's too bad because the few fight fans who actually showed up missed a fun night, which was highlighted by an entertaining Welterweight scrap between Jake Ellenberger vs. Martin Kampmann in the main event of the evening.

"Hitman" lived up to his nickname, becoming the first man to finish the "Juggernaut" via strikes and, in the process, likely earning a number one 170-pound title contender eliminator match in the near future.

In other main card action, which aired live on FX, Michael Chiesa completed his heart-warming Cinderella story with a first round submission finish of Al Iaquinta to win TUF 15 tournament and a "six-figure" UFC contract.

Let's not fail to mention Justin Lawrence, either, who registered a savage headkick knockout of John Cofer (watch the video highlights here) in the "Fight of the Night."
