Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight title contender Demetrius Johnson is going under the knife.
"Mighty Mouse," who slugged and tugged his way past Ian McCall at last weekend's (June 8, 2012) UFC on FX 3 event in Sunrise, Florida, suffered a hernia in his win over "Uncle Creepy" and needs to have it surgically repaired.
From his appearance on HDNet's "Inside MMA:"
"I would love to fight tomorrow but I got a couple injuries coming into this fight. I went to the doctor today and I'll have to get a small procedure surgery on Friday. I suffered a hernia during the fight so I'll be out for maybe two weeks. We're hoping to get into surgery by Friday, get that taken care of and get my injuries out of the way, move forward in my career and get that strap around my waist."
Hear Johnson break it all down for Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten after the jump.
