Video: Carlos Condit wants 'compelling' Martin Kampmann fight if Georges St. Pierre isn't ready by November

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Interim Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit has been patiently biding his time while current Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre recovers from a major knee injury. But the natives have been getting restless and questions have been plentiful regarding who "The Natural Born Killer" will fight if "Rush" doesn't come back on schedule.

The answer, from the man himself:

"Martin Kampmann was my first loss in the UFC, my only loss, my only loss in the last six years or so. Not taking anything away from Johny Hendricks, he's obviously a top contender and had some great wins recently, but (Kampmann) is a more compelling fight. It's a fight that I would absolutely be motivated for if Georges isn't ready. Georges is a guy I've had my eye on and as far as I know, he's going to be ready to go in November."

Kampmann, of course, just pulled off an incredible come-from-behind knockout victory over top contender Jake Ellenberger at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 Finale this past June 1 in Las Vegas. He's also the last man to defeat Condit, having done so in the New Mexico native's Octagon debut.

If St. Pierre recovers in time, it won't matter. But if he doesn't, are you Maniacs on board with Condit vs. Kampmann part deux?
