UFC on FUEL TV 3 results and LIVE fight coverage for 'Korean Zombie vs Poirier' on May 15 in Virginia


We're just about to get underway!

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to pull the trigger on its third FUEL TV mini mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which will emanate LIVE from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., TONIGHT (Tues., May 15, 2012).

UFC on FUEL TV 3 will be headlined by what promises to be an electrifying Featherweight showdown between top 135-pound fighters Chan Sung Jung and Dustin Poirier. The winner of the match is expected to earn number one contender status.

In other action, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 winner Amir Sadollah will try not to be Jorge Lopez's first win inside the Octagon, while Lightweight demons Donald Cerrone and Jeremy Stephens are queued up for a knock-down, drag-out 155-pound brawl. will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the main card action, which is slated to air at 8 p.m. ET on FUEL TV. The latest quick updates of the live action will begin to flow earlier than that around 5 p.m. ET with the "Prelims" bouts on Facebook.

Dustin Poirier vs. Chan Sung Jung (145-pound limit)

Round one: Poirier backs Jung up with a nice left hand early. He throws a nice leg kick as well and scores a takedown but Poirier turtles and transitions to a single leg takedown to get back to his feet. He's working hard in the clinch but Jung is fending him off for now. Poirier gives up on the takedown and throws a few short right hands and then a knee but Jung counters with a takedown in the clinch and he lands into side control. Jung lands a nice elbow and Poirier retains full guard on bottom. Jung throws some elbows and Poirier is cut. Jung postures up and eats an upkick and Poirier reverses him, landing in top position in Jung's full guard. Jung tries to get to his feet but Poirier isn't letting him up just yet. Jung pops to his feet and Poirier throws some nice elbows and punches in the clinch and then a push kick to back him off. They exchange big shots and Poirier dives in for a takedown but gets stuffed as time expires. Very close round but I'm leaning 10-9 Poirier

Round two: Poirier throws a big kick and Jung uses it to knock him off his feet and scores another takedown. Jung is in top position here, dropping a few nice punches but Poirier retains full guard again and Jung's offense is stifled. Jung postures up and throws a nice left hand and then a right elbow but Poirier throws some upkicks and forces him to back off and they're back to their feet. Jung wings some punches and whiffs with a spinning back fist and he throws a big flying knee which might have hurt Poirier. Jung swarms Poirier with big punches and Poirier shoots in for a double leg takedown but Jung sweeps him directly into mount! Wow. Jung is really high up in mount right now and Poirier is hanging on for dear life. Poirier tries to bring his legs up and Jung takes a lightnight quick transition to an armbar and Poirier rolls out of it. Jung transitions to a triangle and now he's throwing elbows to the top of Poirier's head. Poirier rolls out of danger and now he's in side mount on Jung. Wow! Jung retains full guard. Jung throws his legs up and puts Poirier into a triangle with 10 seconds left and Poirier is saved by the bell. 10-9 Jung

Round three: Both men exchange early and the pace has slightly slowed. Poirier backs Jung off with some punches and Jung corners him along the fence and throws a nice flurry. Jung throws a nice right hand and Poirier fires back with a right. Jung is finding a home for his left hand and then he clinches and scores a huge takedown directly into side control but Poirier reverses him and pops back to his feet. Poirier scores with a few right hands and Jung's hands are starting to drop. Jung throws a nice knee to the body and Poirier connects with a big left hand. They reset and Poirier scores with a lead right. Nice left hand from Poirier and Jung's hands are very low. Nice left and right from Poirier and Jung responds with a big flurry, capping it off with a knee. Both men are very tired and Jung wings a huge right hand which nearly knocks himself off balance. Nice left hand from Poirier and then another. Jung eats a big right hand from Poirier and fires back with a flurry at the end of the round. 10-9 Jung

Round four: They exchange early and Jung lands a massive uppercut followed by a huge knee which hurts Poirier. Diamond dives for a takedown and Jung stuffs it, latching onto a D'Arce choke on the ground and Dustin is in huge trouble! Poirier doesn't tap out and he goes unconscious! Wow! What a fight!

Jorge Lopez vs. Amir Sadollah (170-pound limit)

Round one: No glove tap as Sadollah takes the cage center. Nice leg kick from Lopez and he's being the aggressor here as Sadollah seems to be moving in slow motion early. Leg kick from Sadollah and Lopez fires back with one of his own and both men enter the clinch. Lopez connects on the inside with some nice short knees. Lopez is getting the better strikes and he gets inside, lifting Sadollah into the air and slamming him to the ground with 90 seconds left. Sadollah is trying to be active from bottom as Lopez thinks about a Kimura and Sadollah pops back to his feet and now he's hunting for a takedown and pressing Lopez into the fence. He keeps him there until the horn. 10-9 Lopez

Round two: Lopez ducks a hook and initiates a clinch, keeping Sadollah pinned against the fence for a good minute plus. Sadollah opens up with a nice combination and throws some push kicks. He presses forward with a 1-2 and Lopez again attacks with a clinch and is working for a single leg. Sadollah has a grip on Lopez's neck as both men are stalemated and the crowd is not happy. Sadollah starts cranking on the guillotine and Lopez dives to the ground and escapes. He tries to take Sadollah's back as he gets back to his feet but Sadollah turns into him and now he's attacking and hunting for a takedown against the fence. Knee from Sadollah and this is anybody's round with 80 seconds remaining. Sadollah connects with a leg kick and a push kick but a head kick is blocked. Big body shot from Sadollah and Lopez is on his bicycle. Leg kick from Sadollah and then a body kick and he rushes in but Lopez easily takes him down with 30 seconds left. Sadollah posts on his elbow and pops back to his feet at the end of the round. 10-9 Sadollah

Round three: Sadollah opens with a nice left hand and he moves forward throwing ineffective 1-2s which allow Lopez to clinch against him. Lopez is again hunting for a takedown but Sadollah is fending him off and he might be thinking about the guillotine again but he bails on it. Lopez takes Sadollah down but Sadollah pops right back to his feet and now he's on the inside, pressing Lopez into the fence. They separate and Sadollah is being the aggressor here, throwing much more actively on the feet and Lopez again hunts for a takedown with a single leg along the fence. Lopez runs the pipe and puts Sadollah on his back, eating a few elbows from bottom. Lopez is just chilling in Sadollah's guard and not doing anything at all and the crowd lets them have it. The ref breaks them and stands them up. Lopez is tired. Sadollah throws a punch and a jumping knee and Lopez again dives for the single leg. This is so frustrating. Sadollah ducks down and dumps Lopez on his ass with a very slick reversal but he can't do anything with it. Sadollah stuff's Lopez and lands a nice knee and a few punches at the end of the round. 10-9 Sadollah

Donald Cerrone vs. Jeremy Stephens (155-pound limit)

Round one: Cerrone tries to slap a few jabs and Stephens fires back with a heavy power right hand. Leg kick from Cerrone and the second one is checked. Cerrone closes the distance and then throws a heavy right leg kick. Another leg kick from Cerrone and Stephens catches his next one but lets him off the hook. Huge left hook just misses for Stephens and he throws a nice leg kick. Cerrone throws another really nice leg kick and then a sneaky knee. Another leg kick connects and Stephens looks lost, having trouble dealing with his range. Head kick from Cerrone is blocked and it looks like he's toying with Stephens now. Stephens throws a nice grazing right hook but Cerrone isn't hurt by it and Cowboy whiffs with a flying knee. Brutal leg kick from Cerrone and he finishes the round with a flying knee. 10-9 Cerrone

Round two: Cerrone gets right back to work with a leg kick and then another. Cerrone whiffs with a pair of spinning attacks and then cracks Stephens with a nice combination. Cerrone throws a big leg kick and Stephens may be hurt. Stephens shoots for a takedown but gets thrown off easily. Stephens is really flustered with Cerrone's use of range right now. Stephens covers up and Cerrone is taunting him and Stephens left eye is pretty busted up. Big combination from Cerrone is finished off with a huge leg kick which staggers Stephens. Cerrone buckles Stephens again with a leg kick and Stephens tries to fire back with hooks and uppercuts but he can't score with anything solid. Stephens tries to get inside but Cerrone changes levels and takes him down with 20 seconds left. Upkick connects for Stephens as time expires. 10-9 Cerrone

Round three: Cerrone crushes Stephens with an inside leg kick to the nuts right out of the gate. After they reset, he goes right back to work with a big outside leg kick. Stephens connects with a leg kick and a straight left hand but Cerrone fires back with a leg kick. Cerrone thinks about a takedown but backs off. Stephens clinches and throws a knee and they reset quickly as Cerrone throws a beautiful step knee to the body. Huge leg kick from Cerrone knocks Stephens down but he allows him to get back to his feet. Stephens lunges forward with huge haymakers but he hits nothing but air and Cerrone makes him pay with another huge leg kick. Stephens' lead leg has got to be jelly but he lands a nice left hook on the inside. Cerrone drops down right hand to the body as well. Cerrone blasts Stephens with a left body kick and then anothe rleg kick. Stephens is in desperation mode but he still can't find a home for that big right hand. Cerrone again connects to the leg and turns up the heat with a huge flurry to back Stephens off. Stephens misses with a flying knee and he's got 10 seconds. They throw punches until the final bell. 10-9 Cerrone

Jeff Hougland vs. Yves Jabouin (135-pound limit)

Round one: Huge leg kick from Jabouin to get things started and he cracks Hougland with a nice left hook to the chin. Jabouin looks much more loose in there out of the two men. Sneaky right hand connects for Jabouin and he throws a nasty spinning back fist which lands to the body. Jabouin lands another leg kick and Hougland is just eating big shots so far. Body kick from Hougland is blocked and Jabouin counters with a head kick which is also blocked. Both men miss with big hooks and Jabouin knocks Hougland back several feet with a heavy push kick. Huge spinning back fist from Jabouin to the body drops Hougland and Jabouin was confused at first, thinking he might have hit Hougland low. Axe kick to the body from Jabouin and Hougland is hurt again. Jabouin swarms Hougland and he's saved by the bell. 10-8 Jabouin

Round two: Hougland is keeping his elbows in early, defending his body a bit more and Jabouin attacks with a body kick and drops some punches low. Hougland dives in for a takedown but Jabouin escapes. Jabouin keeps throwing some nice leg kicks but he's not doing much and Hougland fires off a spinning backfist that misses. Jabouin throws a nice spinning back kick which connects but not as hard as the first round. Hougland attempts a takedown but gets shrugged off. Nice straight left connects for Jabouin and he whiffs with a huge left haymaker. Body kick lands for Jabouin and he keeps going to the midsection. Hougland lands a nice body kick but Jabouin fires back with a head kick which lands but not heavily. Nice leg kick from Jabouin and he forces the American to play defense until the horn sounds. 10-9 Jabouin

Round three: Big left hook from Jabouin drops Hougland early and he swarms Hougland on the ground with big punches. Hougland is hurting and rolling around trying to avoid damage and Jabouin is pouring it on. Jabouin tries to take Hougland's back without putting his hooks in and Hougland recovers and nearly takes him down. Jabouin lands a big knee and he's back on top, dropping heavy elbows. Hougland might still be in trouble but Jabouin has let him off the hook by getting cute and thinking about the submission. Jabouin postures up and drops a few elbows and Jabouin briefly passes to mount but Hougland retains full guard. Jabouin should back off if he's smart and try to finish Hougland standing. Hougland brings his legs up hunting for something and Jabouin avoids it. Nice hammer fists from Jabouin and he hangs on tight and the ref stands them up with 40 seconds left. Jabouin throws a huge knee and Hougland is hurt again and cracks Hougland with a big head kick to drop him to his back. Jabouin dives into Houglands guard and drops big elbows until the final horn. 10-8 Jabouin

Final Results: Yves Jabouin via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-27)

Fabio Maldonado vs. Igor Pokrajac (205-pound limit)

Round one: Maldonado wings a looping overhand left and Pokrajac easily takes him down, passing to half guard in the process. Maldonado turtles and Pokrajac takes his back and then passes to mount when Maldonado rolls over. Maldonado retains half guard but Pokrajac tries to pin down an arm and work some short strikes. Nice right hand from Pokrajac and Maldonado pops to his feet and Pokrajac slips off of him while attempting to take his back. Maldonado allows him to get back to his feet and Maldonado clocks Pokrajac with a big left hand. Maldonado swarms Pokrajac with a huge flurry along the fence and Pokrajac is hurt! Pokrajac clinches to clear out the cobwebs and Maldonado hammers him with short inside punches to the side of the head and body. Huge shots from Maldonado and Pokrajac is forced to back away as time expires. Damn, that flurry might have won Maldonado the round after a horrible start. 10-9 Maldonado

Round two: Maldonado takes the cage center but Pokrajac cracks him with a nice left hand and then some terrific follow-up strikes. He closes out the combo by dropping down for a single leg but Maldonado his fending him off for now. Pokrajac is really working for the takedown but Maldonado grabs an underhook and prevents it. Pokrajac throws a nice knee to the face from the Thai clinch and he clocks Maldonado with another combination. Huge body shots from Maldonado and he unloads on Pokrajac and gets back some of his momentum. They clinch and Maldonado works some terrific dirty boxing, hammering Pokrajac with short punches and they separate. Maldonado blasts Pokrajac again with body shots and then he stuffs a takedown attempt so badly that he's now on top in half guard with 15 seconds remaining. 10-9 Maldonado

Round three: Maldonado opens strong with huge combinations of shots with multiple blows landing to the body. Maldonado takes inside position along the fence and continues to throw big short inside blows. Pokrajac reverses the position and throws a big jumping knee which connects but Maldonado seems unfazed. The ref separates them and Maldonado turns up the offense, throwing with high volume but Pokrajac fires back with some heavy punches and landing a pair of really nice left hooks. Big right hand from Pokrajac seemed to stagger Maldonado but he's ok. Maldonado attempts a takedown but gets stuffed and his Pokrajac's mouthpiece falls out. They reset and Pokrajac lands a nice leg kick but Maldonado is still coming forward. Big lead left hand from Maldonado and then another. Pokrajac is on his bicycle in the final minute as Maldonado is in stalk mode but then Pokrajac lunges forward with a huge left hand. Maldonado backs Pokrajac into teh fence and both men unload on each other which brings the crowd to its feet. They finish the fight in the clinch. 10-9 Pokrajac?

Final Results: Igor Pokrajac via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28)

Tom Lawlor vs. Jason MacDonald (185-pound limit)

Round one: Lawlor takes control of the cage center early and is looking to land some of his power shots. MacDonald shoots in for a takedown but Lawlor keeps his weight back and stuffs him. Big left hand from Lawlor, then a a right band behind the ear and MacDonald goes down face-planting and that's it! The ref steps in and it's all over! Happy birthday Tom Lawlor!

Round one: Outside leg kick by Tavares. Another leg kick by Tavares, then a good kick to the body. Big slapping kick to the body by Tavares. Leg kick by Tavares, countered by Yang with a left to the head. Yang comes forward with a leg kick of his own. Big right hand by Tavares as both fighters throw combos. Tavares lands another couple of leg kicks on the exit. overhand right to the chest by Tavares. Tavares comes forward with a couple good jabs. Good leg kick by Yang. Front kick by Tavares narrowly misses the button. Two minutes left. Leg kick, to a jump front kick by Tavares that misses badly. Tavares throws a right, but leaves his hands open and hits Yang with a finger. Time for Yang. Big inside leg kick by Tavares. Yang answers with a big punch, and now Tavares gets hit with an eyepoke. Dan Miragliotta cautions both fighters to keep their fingers in when they punch. Good right hand by Tavares as he rushes in. Good exchanges by both fighters as they two are throwing some serious haymakers. Yang cocks back a left hand and smashes Tavares in the face on the way in. Tavares tangles him up and gets underhooks against the fence. Tavares working the knees. Yang reverses. 10-9 Tavares.

Round two: Fighters meet in the center and pick up where they left off, trading big shots. Tavares comes forward with a big combo, ending on a straight right. Inside leg kick by Yang. Tavares rushes in and throws a good right hand. Yang with a nice karate style kick that wobbles Tavares for a moment. Tavares comes forward with the combo. Big overhand right by Tavares that comes close to hitting the mark. Head kick by Yang. Front kick to the body by Yang. Tavares is vigorously wiping his eye and Yang looks to take hold of the opportunity. Body kick by Tavares. Two minutes left. Tavares loads up a big right hand but Yang is able to circle away. Yang grabs hold with underhooks against the cage. Tavares tries to reverse, but Yang gets the takedown. Tavares isn't down for long though, and controls Yang against the cage now. Tavares working the knees. Yang with the judo sweep and Tavares is briefly down again. Back up with 30 seconds to go. Tavares with a series of jabs. Tavares throws a big head kick attempt that misses everything as the horn sounds. 10-9 Yang.

Round three: Tavares comes out swinging. Yang with a push kick to the body. Tavares with the double leg takedown. Yang uses the fence to get back up but Tavares is able to tie him up and bring him back down to the mat. Once again, Yang almost gets back to his feet, before Tavares is able to wrap up the hips and slam him down again. Tavares leans on Yang for almost a minute before Miragliotta stands them up for inactivity. Three to go. Tavares with a good stiff jab. Inside leg kick by Yang. Very close fight thus far. Tavares throws an inside leg kick that strays low and Yang is going to need a minute. Back underway. Tavares with a good combo. Tavares with a front kick to the quad. Good inside leg kick by Yang. Head kick attempt by Tavares. Front kick to the body by Tavares. Tavares rushes in with a 1-1-2 combo. Just under a minute to go. Again, close fight, but Tavares has looked to be the aggressor the whole fight. Tavares feints a shot then throws an overhand right. Round ends as Tavares throws several big kicks. 10-9 Tavares.

Marcus LeVesseur vs. Cody McKenzie (155-pound limit)

Round one: McKenzie comes sprinting out to meet LeVesseur, who is able to score the trip and the takedown. From his back, McKenzie throws an upkick that lands in the groin area. LeVesseaur will have time to recover. Good inside leg kick by LeVesseur. Head kick by McKenzie. McKenzie shoots and misses. LeVesseur with a big uppercut. McKenzie heads to the canvas. LeVesseur stacking and is raining ground and pound. LeVesseur grabs hold of a front headlock. What a twist this would be. McKenzie rolls and Levesseur is on top now. McKenzie with a good short right to the head from off his back. LeVesseur still on top with heavy hips, but McKenzie has his left arm under now. This could be bad for LeVesseur who unnecessarily put himself in a bad spot. McKenzie flips him over and tightens up the choke. Finally, LeVesseur is forced to tap. Puzzling strategy by LeVesseur, but great win for Cody McKenzie.

Final Results: Cody McKenzie via submission (guillotine) at 3:05 of round one

T.J. Grant vs. Carlo Prater (170-pound limit)

Round one: Grant rushes in throwing punches but Prater eludes him. Good leg kick by Grant. Prater answers, but Grant returns fire for one more inside leg kick. Good combo by Grant. Grant with a good combo, ending on an outside leg kick. Grant clinches up, but Prater able to get free. Good kick to the ribs by Grant. Stiff jab by Prater. Prater throws a looping punch that allows Grant to duck under and grab hold of him. Grant unable to get the takedown, but he does tie him up and drag him to the fence. Prater reverses. Now Prater with underhooks. Grant reverses and gets away, back to center. Two minutes left. good right by Grant. Grant ties him up and lands a good knee to the body. Another good combo from Grant, but Prater answers with a decent left hook to the liver area. Good combo again by Grant. Prater shoots and leaves his neck out. Grant grabs hold of it but eventually gives it up. Prater drops down to grab a leg and try for a kneebar, but Grant defends, reverses and ends up on top. Thirty seconds left. Grant gets his leg out, passes and is in side control, but the horn sounds to bring the round to an end. 10-9 Grant.

Round two: Prater with the inside leg kick. Prater with the head kick that lands partially, but Grant walks through it, grabs the leg and has him tied up against the cage now. Good knee by Grant. Another knee to the midsection. Huge elbow by Grant! Prater able to get free of the clinch but he ate a massive elbow on the break. Grant presses forward and clinches up again. Another big elbow by Grant, who works for underhooks and a possible takedown. Prater pushes off and escapes. Three minutes left. Good outside leg kick to the quad by Grant. Grant stalking now, coming forward with strikes and then tangles him up once more. Grant leaning on Prater who looks like he may be starting to gas. Grant gets the takedown, but Prater is able to get back up quickly. Grant initiates the clinch again and scores with several more knees to the body. Outside leg kick by Prater. Prater ties up Grant and turns the tables with a couple good knees of his own. Grant reverses and gets the double leg takedown. Just under a minute to go. Grant quickly transitions to side control and is working for a crucifix, Grant has the crucifix side mount and he is punishing him now with punches! Ten seconds left. Can Prater survive?! Prater slips out and reverses but he was very nearly finished. 10-9 Grant.

Round three: Grant comes forward with a jump front kick then a right hand to the head. He's walking him down. Prater lands a decent left hand. Grant with a good combo. Both fighters throw inside leg kicks simultaneously and clash. Good jab by Prater. Grant responds with a good jab and leg kick, and then another jab. Grant keeps pressure on and finishes a double leg takedown. Three minutes to go in the fight and Grant is on top, looking to pass the guard. If he can get back to where he left off at the end of round two, this may signal the end for Prater. Prater is trying for a guillotine from the bottom, but he has a very bad angle. Grant works to get the leg out, pushes on the hip and Prater rolls, giving up his back. Prater rolls again and now Grant has sidemount. Ninety seconds left. Grant has full mount. Prater tries to reverse but Grant can't be shaken and takes his back. Grant goes for a choke but Prater slips out. Grant gets his back again from the standing position and throws him down with a big suplex. Grant has his back again, now he's going for the armbar! Very close but he runs out of time! 10-8 Grant.

Final Results: T.J. Grant via unanimous decision

Rafael Dos Anjos vs. Kamal Shalorus (155-pound limit)

Round one: Dos Anjos with the kick to the body. Shalorus with a right cross to the head. Dos Anjos with the jump front kick. Head kick by Dos Anjos that lands square on the temple. Shalorus is hurt! He's down. Dos Anjos takes his back. He's looking for the rear naked choke. Shalorus is in trouble! The choke is in! It's all over! Dos Anjos gets the submission win after a giant head kick to set things up and give him the big win!

Round one: Fighters meet in middle and look to find the distance. Eduardo with a big right to the head. Curran backs up a bit. Good leg kick by Eduardo. Good right hand by Curran. Jab by Curran to the chest. Curran throws an inside leg kick that misses. Hugh outside leg kick by Eduardo. Inside leg kick by Curran. Just under three minutes to go. Nice right hand by Curran. Curran rushes in with a combo but ends up eating a response of a combo from his opponent. Curran shoots in and gets nailed again by a combo from Eduardo. Big overhand right by Curran that barely misses. Curran keeping his hands dangerously low. Another gigantic outside leg kick by Eduardo. Curran won't be able to take many more of those. There's another one. Curran seems to have no answer for anything Eduardo is doing in the stand up. Curran throws two consecutive high kicks, both are blocked. Eduardo promptly responds with another big leg kick. Eduardo with a good combo of punches to the head. 10-9 Eduardo.

Round two: Eduardo with two stiff jabs right off the bat. Eduardo with a big leg kick and then a right hand to the temple. Curran is visibly having trouble putting any weight on that lead leg. Eduardo goes after it one more time. Picture Urijah Faber's fight versus Jose Aldo. Yeah. it's like that. Eduardo with the jab. Curran really needs to get this fight to the ground and soon. Good jab by Curran. Head kick by Eduardo misses. Curran gets nailed by one more leg kick and responds with a sidekick to the body of his own. Good combo by Curran, but Eduardo responds in kind again. Two minutes left. Curran comes forward again throwing punches and Eduardo, true to form, picks him off and lands a very strong combination. Eduardo with another thunderous leg kick. Curran with a decent jab, but he gets hit with another two huge leg kicks to the exact same spot. Curran has been very active but Eduardo is just too quick as he easily dodges and dances around every single big strike attempt. Curran shoots but is met with a sprawl. Eduardo ends the round strong with a good combo, cemented by a stiff jab to the head. 10-9 Eduardo.

Round three: Eduardo with a couple jabs and then another big leg kick that almost knocks Curran down. Another big leg kick! This is getting hard to watch. Curran throws a big overhand right, but it is intercepted by Eduardo who answers with an even bigger right hand. Curran ties him up, presumably for a takedown, but Eduardo is way too strong, pushing him away with ease. Eduardo with an inside leg kick, this time to the back leg and the knee. Good combo by Curran. Eduardo complains of an eye poke but the referee says to continue. Curran looks to capitalize and is coming forward aggressively, striking. Curran gets off a big right hand to the head. Eduardo answers with another leg kick. Eduardo still complaining of an eye poke at every break in action. Two minutes left. Curran lands a good jab. Head kick by Eduardo, partially connects. Big overhand right by Curran, misses entirely. One minute to go in the fight. Curran with a very low stance, looking to pick a shot that would get him the finish he needs. Curran is starting to score with much higher frequency, but it will be too little, too late, if he cannot get the knockout. Ten seconds left. Curran keeps the rally going but he runs out of time. 10-9 Curran.

Final Results: Johnny Eduardo via unanimous decision

Francisco Rivera vs. Alex Soto (135-pound limit)

Round one: Big high kick by Rivera that misses. Rivera comes forward with an uppercut. Soto feints a shot but thinks better of it. Rivera staggers Soto with a big kick. Then a combo! Soto looks wobbled early on. Don't be surprised if this hits the canvas soon, as Soto is eating a lot of strikes on the feet. Big overhand right hits Soto on the temple. Inevitably, Soto shoots for a single leg and gets the takedown. Three minutes to go in the round and Soto is on top. Rivera in full guard. Rivera scrambles back toward the fence and gets back up, but eats a knee on the way up. Back to center. Big knee by Rivera to the chest. Soto shoot s and gets nailed with a couple of punches in the face. Rivera stalking. Soto trying to circle and use his movement but he is having trouble eluding punches. Rivera lands a big right, and another! High kick from Soto is blocked. The strikes are fairly even, but Rivera's shots are landing with much more authority and volume. Good combo by Rivera. Soto shoots and gets nailed with a head kick and then a combo of punches. The fighters clinch up against the fence, Rivera working some good knees inside. Soto is clearly nervous and hesitant to stand. The problem is, his takedowns haven't been super successful either. Round comes to a close. 10-9 Rivera.

Round two: Back to center exchanging and Rivera lands with a combo right away. Good front kick to the body by Rivera. Soto with the left hook. Body kick by Soto. Soto shoots for a single leg and gets nothing. Rivera coming forward aggressively. Body kick by Soto. Another body kick by Soto, answered with a very hard leg kick by Rivera. Rivera throws another inside leg kick that lands low. Brief stoppage. Back to action. Rivera is starting to really land with the inside leg kicks, each one landing with a loud thud. Overhand right by Rivera that lands. Soto shoots, misses and gets clipped by a right to the side of the head. Just over two minutes to go. Big overhand right by Rivera and then a head kick. Soto looks rocked for a moment but recovers quickly. Soto throws a kick, going backward and it lands low. Time to recover for Rivera. Back to center. Rivera stalking again. Rivera throws a nice inside leg kick, and he is really picking Soto apart. One minute to go. Good knee by Rivera as Soto rushes in. Big right hand and then a head kick by Rivera that floors Soto. Soto springs right back up, but these knockdowns have to be taking a toll. Round ends with Rivera throwing a flurry of punches and kicks and Soto escaping, mercifully. 10-9 Rivera.

Round three: Soto comes flying forward, but Rivera dodges everything that comes his way. Rivera sits in the pocket patiently. Rivera throws a big head kick. Soto ducks under, catches the kick and takes him down, but Rivera scrambles and gets right back up to his feet. Good body kick by Soto. Rivera with a solid combo. Soto throws a big left hand, misses, and gets clipped by Rivera with a short right hand to the head. Big front kick by Rivera, just barely misses knocking him out. Rivera is coming forward and landing a ton of punches and kicks. Soto is hanging in there but he is taking a TON of abuse. Halfway through the round. Huge slapping kick to the body by Rivera. Soto throws several punches but none make their way through. Good jab by Soto. Soto throwing a lot of jabs and feints. Almost point fighting, which is odd, because he's clearly way behind. Good head kick by Rivera. Soto throws a kick, misses, almost falls down and the round ends with Rivera walking him down. 10-9 Rivera.

Final Results: Francisco Rivera via unanimous decision
