Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced today (May 3, 2012) that the opening two "Prelims" bouts of the UFC on Fox 3 event, which is set to go down this weekend (May, 5, 2012) from the IZOD Center at East Rutherford, N.J., will be streamed live on Facebook.
The action will kick off at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday on the mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion's official Facebook page with bouts that include Roland Delorme vs. Nick Denis and Mike Massenzio vs. Karlos Vemola after not having any plans to air them.
UFC President Dana White previously stated that "time issues" was the hurdle that previously prevented the fights from receiving any type of exposure (via Yahoo! Sports):
"That was a time issue. We're always trying to cram more matches in. We're always trying to give you as many fights as we can give you."
FUEL TV will broadcast the remaining six-fight "Prelims" under card on its network, beginning at 5 p.m. ET, with the main card action continuing on Fox at 8 p.m. ET.
UFC on FOX 3 will feature a Lightweight battle between Nate Diaz taking on Jim Miller, while the co-main event will showcase a Welterweight clash between Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks.
More is indeed better.
