Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to pay-per-view (PPV) last night (Sat., May 26, 2012) with its UFC 146: "Dos Santos vs. Mir" event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the main event of the evening, Junior dos Santos successfully defended his heavyweight championship by staying true to his prediction beforehand and knocking out Frank Mir in the second round. You can watch highlights of that fight alone by clicking here.
The rest of the main card was just as entertaining, as all five bouts were finishes and not a single one made it to the third round. The all heavyweight main card concept was a big hit.
In the co-headlining bout, Cain Velasquez squashed "Bigfoot" by pounding Antonio Silva into oblivion and likely earning himself a title shot in the process. You can watch highlights of that fight alone by clicking here.
In other action, Roy Nelson sent "Pee Wee" Dave Herman off to La La Land with a looping overhand right, Stipe Miocic stopped Shane Del Rosario, and Stefan Struve made quick work of Lavar Johnson with a first round submission.
