UFC 146: "Dos Santos vs. Mir" from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, is officially in the books after an exciting night (May 26, 2012) of "heavy" mixed martial arts (MMA) fights.
In the UFC 146 main event of the evening, Junior dos Santos vs. Frank Mir, was the classic Striker vs. Grappler showdown. And after little more than one round of action, the former prevailed with a technical knockout finish to retain his Heavyweight belt and send the two-time division champion to the back of the contender line once again.
As usual, the stars of the show came to dish the dirt on the event immediately afterward, including Junior dos Santos, Frank Mir, Cain Velasquez, Roy Nelson, Stefan Struve and Dan Hardy, among others. Naturally, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White emceed the post-fight event wrap up show.
Sorry, fight fans, but no Brock Lesnar, even though his was in attendance last night and White even teased that his biggest box office draw would "maybe" return to the Octagon.
Yikes.
