Tim Credeur is ready for a bayou beatdown.
The former competitor on season seven of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) and a five-fight UFC veteran himself, Credeur has taken a step back lately to focus on his training, notably his Gladiator Training Academy prodigy Dustin Poirier, who's quickly gone 4-0 in the UFC's featherweight division.
Credeur played a pivotal role in the recent MMA documentary "Fightville" which chronicled the rise of Poirier from the local scene to the big leagues and he's very proud of his protege, who's now set to fight his first ever UFC main event against "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung tomorrow night at UFC on FUEL TV 3 in Fairfax, Virginia.
From his UFC interview:
"These last days leading up to the fight are really all about getting Dustin [Poirier] mentally prepared. Going through the same routines we always go through, making sure his diet's spot on, his weight's perfect down to the ounce and just making sure his head's right, the gameplan's perfect. He knows what we're gonna do. He knows how it's gonna happen and we've gone through every little intricacy of what could happen in the fight whether it's on the ground, the takedown, the striking. Just making sure his head is 100 percent dedicated to the destruction of The Korean Zombie."
