Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced a trio of mixed martial arts (MMA) matches that have been added to the UFC on FUEL TV 4 event that will take place at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., on July 11, 2012.
Two Bantamweight bouts -- T.J. Dillashaw vs. Vaughan Lee and Raphael Assuncao vs. Issei Tamura -- and a Flyweight showdown between Chris Cariaso vs. Josh Ferguson will be featured on the promotion's fourth effort on FUEL TV this summer.
Dillashaw, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 runner up, scored his first win inside the Octagon over Walel Watson earlier this year, while Lee -- who stunned Japanese legend Norifumi Yamamoto with a submission victory in his most recent outing -- will also look to keep his win streak alive.
Assuncao is fresh off a decision win over Johnny Eduardo, which pales in comparison to Tamura's recent devastating first round knockout finish of Tiequan Zhang at UFC 144. Cariaso, meanwhile, will make his 125-pound debut against Ferguson, who has yet to register an official UFC win thanks to his submission loss to Roland Delorme at TUF 14 Finale late last year.
UFC on FUEL TV 4 will feature a Middleweight main event of Mark Munoz vs. Chris Weidman with the number one division contender position in the 185-pound division on the line.
A Light Heavyweight bout that pits Brandon Vera vs. James Te Huna is also expected to take place in the "Shark Tank" on fight night, as well as a potential Lightweight war between Anthony Njokuani vs. Paul Taylor.
