The inaugural World Jiu-Jitsu Expo will take place later this evening (Sat., May 12, 2012) at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California. The grappling event will feature a live pay-per-view (PPV) webcast of the entire slate of jiu-jitsu superfights.
The event will be headlined by a Brazilian jiu-jitsu "super fight" between former Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz -- a Cesar Gracie black belt -- and Braulio Estima -- a second degree black belt under Carlson Gracie.
There will also be plenty of other elite grapplers on display, including a trio of Gracies and Rafael Lovato, perhaps the most accomplished American grappler. Even the ladies will get involved as Kyra Gracie will take on Strikeforce bantamweight Alexis Davis.
The HD stream, produced by Mobile Black Belt and available for purchase on mobileblackbelt.tv for $9.95, will begin with a pre-show at 9:30 p.m. ET (6:30 p.m. PT) and the first fight will take place at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT).
