King Mo health update: Lawal feeling well enough to 'chase the paper'

"Mo" money.

You didn't think a little thing like getting cut from ZUFFA, having surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) or suffering from a near-fatal case of staph infection would stop former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion Muhammed Lawal from chasing that paper?

From Middle Easy:

"I'm just doin' where the money's at. If I get an offer to do somethin' ... I chase the paper. You know what I'm sayin'? I'm not no slave to no brand, I don't chase the brand, I don't give a f**k about that s**t. I chase dollars, you know what I'm sayin'?"

"King Mo" is on the mend both personally and professionally after a disastrous start to his 2012 fight campaign, one that saw him test positive for Drostanolone on the heels of his Jan. 7 win no contest over Lorenz Larkin.

Lawal then called Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) Chairperson Pat Lundvall a "racist bitch" (he later apologized) and soon found himself on the unemployment line.

But it's not slowing him down one bit.

Hear more from the freestyle wrestling phenom as he talks about his foray into acting (Black Dynamite!) and a possible run as a professional wrestler, after the jump.
