Sean Pierson vs Jake Hecht booked for UFC on FX 3 on June 8 in Florida

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has continued to finalize its upcoming UFC on FX 3 fight card, recently announced for the BankAtlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on June 8, 2012.

Joining the fray will be Canadian "Punisher" Sean Pierson, who today tweeted that he'll trade leather opposite Missouri mauler Jake Hecht in the Harley Davidson-sponsored event.

This could be Pierson's (11-6) last stand, as the 30-something slugger is mired in an 0-2 slump following back-to-back losses to Jake Ellenberger and Dong Hyun Kim. Hecht (11-3) is also coming off a recent defeat, having tapped to T.J. Waldburger (armbar) at UFC on FX 2 earlier this year.

It's do-or-die time for these talented welterweights.

UFC on FX 3 will feature the conclusion of the promotion's recent flyweight tournament as Demetrious Johnson and Ian McCall try to settle their 125-pound rematch sans scoring errors.

In addition, fans will be able to vote online and choose which of the following bouts makes the main card: Scott Jorgensen vs. Eddie Wineland, Carlos Eduardo Rocha vs. Mike Pierce, Lance Benoist vs. Seth Baczynski.
