Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White brought "good news and bad news" to the mixed martial arts (MMA) fans in Brazil today (April 24, 2012). Okay, so it was mostly bad, as the Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen rematch is heading to Las Vegas and UFC 147 still doesn't have a venue to host it.
On the brighter side, UFC Featherweight Champion and hometown hero Jose Aldo may get the call to head back home for his next 145-pound title defense.
"Silva vs. Sonnen II" was officially announced for the UFC 148 pay-per-view event on July 7 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Both middleweights were on the scene in Brazil today to field questions and as you can see from the above video (skip to 5:00), Sonnen was able to get his schtick through customs.
