Brian Stann vs Alessio Sakara full fight video highlights from UFC on Fuel TV 2

Brian Stann returned to the win column yesterday (April 14, 2012) in devastating fashion, taking out Alessio Sakara in the first round of their Middleweight showdown in the UFC on Fuel TV 2 co main event, which took place from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.

"All American" came out strong, hurting the Italian striker with an improved Muay Thai attack that included several painful kneecaps to the face. "Legionarius" was on the verge of getting finished, but then was able to regain his composure when the fight slowed and hit the floor.

It's didn't last long, however.

Inside Sakara's guard, Stann delivered a short, hard punch that made Sakara's eyes roll into the back of his head. He followed up with a second and Sakara, for all intents and purposes, was unconscious. Rather than continue the abuse, Stann pulled back and essentially stopped hitting Sakara, which compelled the referee to step an and waive off the fight, even though Sakara (kinda) came back to life.

It was an odd stoppage, but a justified one nonetheless.
