Scrappy Australian light heavyweight James Te Huna is taking a step up in competition in pursuit of his third straight win, today announcing a future match up against Brandon Vera at UFC on FUEL TV 4, tentatively scheduled for July 14 at a location to be determined.
From Te Huna's Twitter:
I'm fighting Brandon Vera, UFC on Fuel 4
Short and sweet, sort of like Te Huna's first round knockout over Ricardo Romero at UFC 135, followed by yet another first round stoppage over Aaron Rosa at UFC on FX 2 just last month. Now it's time to see if "The Truth" hurts bad enough to stop his 205-pound ascension when they hook 'em up this summer.
Vera was expected to return at UFC on FX 3 to exact revenge on Thiago Silva; however, his physician quickly put the kibosh on those plans with a bum medical report. The former heavyweight has not competed since a unanimous decision win over Eliot Marshall at UFC 137 last October.
