UFC on FOX 3 results and LIVE fight coverage for 'Diaz vs Miller' on May 5 in New Jersey

Tonight's the night!

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to pull the trigger on its upcoming network television fight card, which emanates LIVE from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, N.J., TONIGHT (Sat., May 5, 2012).

UFC on FOX 3 will be headlined by a lightweight number one contender bout that pits Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller, while heavyweights Pat Barry and Lavar Johnson will also sling leather for 265-pound bragging rights.

In addition, Josh Koscheck vs. Johny Hendricks will face off for a spot in the 170-pound pecking order.

Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller (155-pound limit)

Round one: Hard leg kick from Miller. Nice combo from Diaz and front kick from Miller. Both men tie up and are trading knees to the body. Hard elbow from Miller. Another good elbow from Miller. Slip from Miller and now they back to the center of the cage. Good leg kick from Miller. Now their tied up again short uppercut from Miller before the break. Right from Diaz. Good body shot from Nate and left from Miller. Leg kick from Diaz good overhand right from Miller. Now their tied up against the cage. Miller dropping down for a single and sucks it up and pulls it up high now. He lets it go and Diaz lands a good knee to the head and then a body shot. Left from Miller. Leg kick from Miller. Good combo from Diaz. A straight left from Diaz rocks Miller! Miller dives down for a double and is trying to survive. Nate spins for the back and Miller reverses it and now their back to the feet and Miller gets a take down. Diaz sweeps and lands a punch at the bell. Close round i think Diaz takes it, 10-9 Diaz.

Round two: Right from Diaz. Leg kick from Miller. They clinch and knee to the body from Miller. Dirty boxing from Diaz now against the cage. Good hard short elbow from Diaz. Their tied up against the cage now and they break. Miller bleeding from his nose. Good left from Miller. Another good left from Miller and Diaz with a stiff left of his own. Right from Miller and counter knee and left from Diaz. Flying knee from Miller is misses and Nate with a combo that lands flush. Now their tied up again and Diaz lands a good knee to the head and Miller drops to avoid more damage. Their centered again and Diaz with another flurry and a left. Good left then right and then a hard elbow and combo from Diaz. Diaz now drops down and has a power guillotine locked in!!!! Miller taps out thats it!!! Diaz with a HUGE win!

Johny Hendricks vs. Josh Koscheck (170-pound limit)

Round one: Front kick from Kos to start. Nice left from Hendricks and Kos with a counter right and Hendricks is blinking. Big punches and then a head kick from Kos. Kos is unloading piston style right hooks and they are landing hard. Another hard right from Kos and then a uppercut and left from Hendricks. Now Hendricks is going for a take down and Kos is looking to fight it off. The ref centers the fighters after a stalemate. Good left from Hendricks. Uppercut from Kos. Kos with a big counter right off a head kick attempt. Left from Hendricks and again he is going for a take down and Kos shrugs him off. Good flurry from Kos and Hendricks with a good counter left. Right from Hendricks. Good left from Hendricks and counter right from Kos. That is the bell and a close round ill lean towards Koscheck. 10-9 Koscheck.

Round two: Left from Hendricks. Hard left uppercut from Hendricks. Another good left from Hendricks and now they scramble and Kos has the back on the mat up against the cage. Good knee and elbow from Kos as Hendricks gets to his feet. Hendricks shoots and goes for the double and again they are tied up against the cage. Knees to the thigh from Hendricks. Again ref re starts fighters after a stalemate. Hard right uppercut and left hook combo from Hendricks. Good left from Hendricks. Kos shoots and is stuffed again. Now their tied up against the cage and Kos lands two good hard elbows in the scrum. Left from Hendricks. Another left from Hendricks. Good combo from Kos. Left from Hendricks and goes for a take down but the bell stops it. Hendricks took that round. 10-9 Hendricks.

Round three: Jab from Hendricks. Right from Kos. Kos shoots for a single and gets Hendricks against the cage and now their in the usual stalemate position we have seen throughout this fight. Again ref centers the fighters. Double jab from Kos and then two good rights, counter left from Hendricks. Hendricks lands two big hooks and Kos looks hurt, but Kos counter with two big rights of his own and backs Hendricks into the cage now! Now their tied up against the cage both men looking a little gassed out now. Big knee from Hendricks as Kos shoots in but Kos gets the take down and is now on top. There is 1 minute 45 seconds left and this is a must win round for Kos. Kos trying to get into the full mount but cannot seems to work his way out of half guard. Kos with some short elbows and left hands from the top position. Body shots from Kos now. More body shots from Koscheck as this round comes to a close and this is going to be a close decision. 10-9 Koscheck.

Alan Belcher vs. Rousimar Palhares (185-pound limit)

Round one: Palhares misses a nice front kick. Both men not moving much, and as i say that Palhares shoots for a lightning quick single and gets Belcher down. Now their tangling on the mat and Belcher is going for a twister! This is a crazy pretzel like scramble we have going on down here on the mat. Palhares slips out and is now rolling for an ankle and he has it! Belcher defending thus far but he is playing a dangerous game right now with the ju jitsu ace Palhares. Palhares cranks a heel and Belcher slips out now and is on top and throwing some punches from the top position. Nice elbow from Belcher and he follows with another HUGE elbow and now Belcher is throwing some BIG punches and Palhares is not responding!! Belcher keeps pounding away and that is it the ref stops it! Wow that was an extremely interesting and impressive performance from Belcher.

Pat Barry vs. Lavar Johnson (265-pound limit)

Round one: Hard leg kick from Barry. Now they lock up and Johnson with a knee to the body then some wild punches. Bary with a head kick and big left hook off the cage. They tangle again and a big knee to the body from Johnson after a hard leg kick from Barry. Big knees from Johnson now and a huge elbow and now some HUGE wild punches. Barry goes for a take down and Johnson sprawls out and now Barry is on top in full mount and jumps into side control! Barry now going for an Americana. Johnson is gets out. Elbows from the bottom from Johnson. Johnson uses an underhook and gets to his feet, big leg kick from Barry now. Nice knee to the stomach and then head from Johnson and then Johnson lands a BIG head kick that rocks Barry. Now Johnson is unloading a wild barrage of punches against the fence and Barry is not fighting back!!! Johnson is still unloading 30 seconds later without stopping and finally Barry collapses to the mat and this fight is over!!!

Anthony Ferguson vs. Michael Johnson (155-pound limit)

Round one: Fighters meet in the middle, trying to find the distance. Inside leg kick by Johnson. Outside leg kick by Johnson. Ferguson switches stances. Johnson throws a big left that misses. Another good leg kick by Johnson. Ferguson throws a head kick that misses. Johnson with an outside leg kick. Ferguson responds with a big left to the head. Inside leg kick by Johnson who continues to target that lead leg. Ferguson throws a leg kick that misses as he slips but gets right back up. Johnson with yet another leg kick. Johnson with a kick to the body. Johnson comes forward with a combo that ends with a big left hand to the head. Ferguson gets rocked but recovers. Two minutes left. Leg kick by Johnson. Another leg kick by Johnson. Ferguson has done little to no damage in this round and appears very tentative. Both fighters kick simultaneously as their legs clash. Ferguson ends round with a couple good strikes, but the round definitely belonged to Johnson, 10-9.

Round two: Johnson comes out throwing kicks again. Johnson rushes in and eats a few punches from Ferguson that has him backing up. Ferguson with a kick to the body. Good combo by Johnson. Good stiff jab by Ferguson. Good inside leg kick by Ferguson. Johnson comes forward aggressively landing a good combo of several punches. Good inside leg kick by Ferguson. Johnson answered with a left hook to the head. Johnson comes in again with a flurry of punches. Ferguson has stepped up his activity in this round significantly. Good knee by Ferguson. Ferguson with a front kick to the head. Ferguson finishes the round throwing a lot of strikes and appears to have evened the gap. 10-9 Ferguson.

Round three: The fighters meet in the middle and exchange combos, each landing some big punches. Good leg kick by Ferguson, but Johnson responds with a big right hand that pops Ferguson's head back. Ferguson's kick caught by Johnson who counters with a left hook. Johnson dances in and throws a few punches, then gets back out.Ferguson connects with a right hand that looked to wobble Johnson for a second. Inside leg kick by Johnson. Good left hand by Johnson, and another. Good leg kick by Johnson, followed by another good left hook. Under two to go. Head kick attempt by Johnson that misses by a lot. Leg kick by Ferguson. Johnson is getting the better of all the striking exchanges in this round, making good use of his movement and angles. Good right hand over the top for Johnson. Great combo by Johnson. Johnson ends the round with several really big combos in a row. 10-9 Johnson.

John Dodson vs. Tim Elliott (125-pound limit)

Round one: Elliott throws a front kick that is blocked. Elliott rushes in and Dodson throws a big jump flying kick that goes over Elliott's head. Elliott comes forward throwing punches. Dodson throws a kick that is caught. Elliott throws the leg down and scores with a big left hook. Elliott shoots and Dodson reverses, having him down for a second, but he's right back up. The pace, which was neck-break at the start, has slowed a bit. Left hook by Elliott. Elliott throws a big overhand right that misses, then rushes in and eats a few punches from Dodson. Very even round so far. Two minutes to go. Dodson gets the takedown, but finds himself precariously having to defend against an armbar and decided to stand back up. Elliott with a good combo. Dodson with the accidental eyepoke. Elliott takes a second to recover. The physicians are now in the cage to attend to Elliott and decided if he can continue. He decides to move forward and the fight is back on. Elliott throws a big overhand left that misses. Dodson responds with a lurry of punches. Elliott lands a spinning backfist as he continues to throw wildly. Round ends with Dodson throwing a flying knee from a complete standstill that surprises Elliott and lands on the jaw. 10-9 Dodson.

Round two: Elliott comes out looking to have trouble opening the eye that was poked in round one. Elliott throws a cartwheel kick! It doesn't land but he's super unorthodox and the fans love it! Head kick by Elliott, answered with a knee to the body by Dodson. Dodson pushes forward with a nice combo. Sidekick to the body by Elliott. Good series of jabs by Dodson. Good knee to the head by Dodson. Good jab by Elliott. Elliott comes forward throwing a few big left hands, landing with one or two. Elliott catches a kick, runs forward looking for a takedown. Dodson somersaults to get free and we're back to center. Crazy scramble between these two flyweights! Dodson throws a slapping strike that goes a bit low and Elliott's gonna get a minute to recover. Dodson is warned. Elliott comes forward throwing punches and Dodson ducks under for the takedown. Elliott springs right back up and lands a good knee to the body. 10-9 Elliott.

Round three: Elliott comes out swinging and lands several big strikes. Dodson answers with a front kick that has Elliott crashing to the canvas ever so briefly. Good jab by Elliott. Good knee by Dodson. Nice right hook by Elliott. Elliott has been on the hunt this round, pushing the pace and stalking Dodson all the way. Dodson with another good knee to the body. Elliott with a good combo. Stiff jab by Elliott. Elliott shoots for the single leg takedown but Dodson slips out. Good one two combo agains for Elliott. Elliott keeps coming forward and scoring with combination after combination. Dodson throws a kick that is caught and Elliott hits him with several punches in a row, right in the face. Dodson throws a big knee that lands to the head, but Elliott catches the leg, again, and lands a bunch of big punches to the head. Big round for Elliott. 10-9 Elliott.

John Hathaway vs. Pascal Krauss (170-pound limit)

Round one: Hathaway comes out rapid firing with jabs that land squarely. Hathaway dances around, throws a looping left hand then clinches up, but gives up the clinch quickly. Hathaway back in, landing a nice elbow. Hathaway with a good combo that ends with a right hand to the head. Krauss yet to do much of anything except get punched in the face so far. Krauss comes forward wit ha decent combination, finishing with a kick to the midsection. Hathaway ties up for a takedown, backs up, and scores a huge knee to the head that send Krauss to the floor. Hathaway leaps into the guard, looking to score with some ground and pound. Just over two minutes left as Krauss attempts to clear the cobwebs. Hathaway postures up, lands a big right hand and then lets him back up. Hathaway with a big right hook, answered by the same from Krauss. Hathaway ducks under a punch for a takedown attempt, but can't get him down. Krauss now with a takedown attempt of his own that is successful. Krauss on top trying to get to side control. Round ends with Krauss on top landing punches to the body. 10-9 Hathaway.

Round two: Krauss scores with a quick one two combo. Hathaway shoots and gets the takedown. Hathaway working the ground and pound game as he works hard to pass guard. Hathaway rears back and lands a couple of big strikes from top. Hathaway continues to try and free his leg, all the while hammering Krauss with punches. Krauss tries to get up, but is pushed right back down and met with an elbow to the forehead. Hathaway with another good elbow. Hathaway lets him back up. Two minutes left. Good right hand by Hathaway. Krauss comes forward throwing a couple left hooks, then shoots but can't score the takedown. Big looping right to the head by Hathaway. Good jab by Hathaway. Krauss answers with a left hook and a knee to the body. Krauss drops down to grab a leg and try to take him down near the end of the round. Hathaway defends and breaks free. 10-9 Hathaway.

Round three: Good jab by Hathaway. Hathaway scores with another good combo. Good knee by Hathaway. The pace has noticeably slowed in this fight, which may very well be determined by who has the deeper gas tank. Hathaway gets underhooks against the fence, lifts Krauss off the ground and slams him to the mat. Hathaway in the half guard of Krauss, landing multiple punches to the ribs and head. Big right hand by Hathaway. Krauss leans forward in an attempt to get up but gives up his neck momentarily. Krauss lays back down to avoid the choke and Hathaway lets him back up. Hathaway coming forward throwing punches. Hathaway has been the clear aggressor in this entire fight and is almost certainly up two rounds to none. Hathaway circles, scores with a big spinning backfist and then a left hook to the head. Krauss throws a big punch but misses and almost falls down after, obviously exhausted. Less than a minute to go. Krauss ties him and Hathaway lands a big knee to the middle of the face. Krauss looks wobbled. Big uppercut by Hathaway who is teeing off now! Round ends and Krauss survives. 10-9 Hathaway.

Final results: John Hathaway via unanimous decision

Louis Gaudinot vs. John Lineker (125-pound limit)

Round one: Gaudinot rushes in and gets hit with a bunch of punches. Linker is throwing bombs! Gaudinot is right in there trading but Linker is landing at a much higer clip. Big uppercut by Lineker. Lineker comes forward with a couple of combos, causing Gaudinot to cover up. Furious pace thus far. Inside leg kick by Lineker then another quick combo. Lineker is sitting in the pocket and throwing a ton of strikes. Good straight right hand to the head by Lineker. Lineker is absolutely unloading. Gaudinot keeps coming forward and continues to eat a ton of punches. Gaudinot's hair was tied up at the start of the fight, and the barrage of punches has caused his hair to come loose, all over Gaudinot's face. Gaudinot finally gets tired of being punched and shoots for the successful takedown. Gaudinot working inside the full guard of Lineker with less than a minute to go. Gaudinot able to land a few good punches from the top. Lineker has the heel and is going for a submission. Gaudinot gets free. Gaudinot in side control, landing a few short, quick punches as the horn sounds. 10-9 Lineker.

Round two: Round begins with Gaudinot coming forward and Lineker clips him with several punches. Gaudinot answers with a decent left hook. Good lead left kick to the body by Gaudinot. Gaudinot throws a big body kick but is interrupted by a looping right hand to the side of the head. Lineker continues to score with punches at will. Gaudinot is taking a lot of abuse. Gaudinot clinches, spins and pushes Lineker against the cage to get out of trouble. Lineker doesn't stay there long and we're back to center. Lineker goes body-body-head and has Gaudinot moving backwards. Good spinning backfist by Gaudinot. Lineker lands another big combo again. Gaudinot finally relents and shoots for the takedown. Good elbow from the bottom by Lineker. Gaudinot leans up to complain of being hit to the back of his head and is promptly punched in the face by his grounded opponent. Gaudinot punishes the ribs with several quick punches. Gaudinot throwing a lot of punches now from the top, but none appear to be doing much harm. Lineker pushes off with his legs to get back up but gives up his neck as he gets back up. The choke is in and it's deep! Lineker passes out before he is able to tap. Gaudinot wins via submission!

Danny Castillo vs. John Cholish (155-pound limit)

Round one: Castillo jabs. Very patient almost hesitant start by both fighters. Castillo shoots for the takedown, gives up on it but clinches against the fence. Castillo with a good knee to the thigh. Cholish swings with a big kick that misses and he's on his back. He's able to avoid trouble and get back up before Castillo rushes in. Cholish now tries for the takedown but is unsuccessful. Their tied up against the cage now battling for position. Just under three minutes to go. Cholish tries to trip Castillo, but can't get him down as Castillo pushes away, back to center. Two minutes left. Castillo loads up a big right hand but pulls it back. Good punch to the body by Castillo, followed by an overhand right to the head. Cholish is moving a lot, but more to avoid damage than to try and cause damage. Good right hand to the face by Castillo. Cholish on the mat for a second but able to regain his composure and get back up. Round ends with the fighters exchanging in the center and the fans booing, due to the lack of activity. Cholish is making it difficult for Castillo to get any kind of pace going. Castillo 10-9.

Round two: Cholish with the jab. Castillo comes forward. Castillo with a combo of punches that Cholish ducks under and is able to get the takedown. Cholish on top, but Castillo is able to get back up fairly quickly. Big overhand right by Cholish, misses. Castillo aggressively comes forward and lands with a couple quick combinations. Great right right hand by Castillo. The fans voice their disapproval, once more. Castillo shoots and has Cholish down temporarily, but they're right back up. Cholish continually switching stances and looking to counter strike, as opposed to attacking. Two minutes left. Good right hand to the body by Cholish. Cholish shoots for the double, but is met by a sprawl. Castillo grabs his neck and uses it to try and get his back, but Cholish is able to scramble loose. Back up. One minute to go. Good jab by Cholish. Stiff jab by Castillo. Very nice combo by Castillo that ends with a right hand on the jawline. Cholish appears to recover quickly. As the horn sounds, Castillo picks up Cholish and slams him to the mat. Solid close to a close round. 10-9 Castillo.

Round three: Round begins with each fighter working their respective jabs. Castillo shoots in and gets the takedown, but Cholish wall walks back to his feet. Castillo still has underhooks, against the fence, as Cholish grabs his neck to try and control him. Cholish lets go, evidently more concerned with his takedown defense. Cholish drops down to try and grab hold of a leg, but it backfires as Castillo is able to get dominant position. Three minutes left now as Castillo looks to work his wrestling. Cholish eventually is able to get back to his feet, and the fighters break. Castillo paws with the jab. Cholish throws a combo that doesn't really land, but comes back with a decent jab that pops Castillo's head back a bit. The last minute has been spent with each fighter standing in the pocket, neither willing to be the first to commit. This whole fight has been somewhat of a staring contest, and the crowd has been quick to let the fighters know they're not digging it. The criticism may be a bit unfair, but this has not been an exciting fight by any stretch of the imagination. Cholish drops down again for the leg, but Castillo casually steps out of the way and ends the fight on top. 10-9 Castillo.

Dennis Bermudez vs. Pablo Garza (145-pound limit)

Round one: Big overhand right by Bermudez who shoots for a takedown. Garza grabs his neck as he shoots in and still has it as he works off his back. Bermudez able to scramble sideways and get back up, thinking better of staying on the canvas with Garza. Big knee by Garza and then another. Bermudez clinhes up against the fence and works some dirty boxing. The size and reach advantage here for Garza is just unreal. Bermudez drops down, picks Garza up and scores a big slam. Garza very active off his back. Puzzling why Bermudez would even want to take the fight here. Garza working from the full guard. Bermudez lands a couple short body shots from the top. Bermudez rears back and lands a couple good punches. Garza with several huge upkicks in a row and Bermudez looks staggered. Bermudez backs away then pounces but he still looks wobbly. Garza working for a triangle from the bottom. Bermudez defends and works some ground and pound. Garza finally able to get back up, with just under a minute to go. Good leg kick by Garza. Garza shoots and Bermudez sidesteps, picks him up and throws him around like a ragdoll. Very impressive. 10-9 Bermudez.

Round two: Bermudez rushes in, throws a right looping punch and then ties up Garza against the fence. Good knee by Garza, answered by a looping right hand from Bermudez who follows with another huge slam by Bermudez. Bermudez working inside the full guard of Garza. Bermudez able to get to side control, momentarily, but Garza pushes him back to full guard. Three minutes left. Good elbow from the top by Bermudez. Garza trying to use the fence to get back t his feet as Bermudez grabs his neck and tries to get a d'arce choke in. Garza defends well and flops back to his back. Garza landing elbows from his back. Bermudez still on top landing punches. Bermudez backs away, and finally lets Garza back up, wary of his upkicks. It only takes a few seconds, though, for Bermudez to grab hold of Garza and powerfully slam him to the ground again. Full guard for Garza. After a few moments, Bermudez lets him back up again. The round ends with Bermudez tripping Garza to the mat and casually walking away to his corner. 10-9 for Bermudez.

Round three: Garza comes out pawing with the jab. Bermudez rushes in, tangles him up and slams him to the canvas, once again. Bermudez stands over him, hovering, lookign for an opportunity to rain down damage from above. Garza doing all he can to score upkicks or land a submission attempt but Bermudez has been all over him, smothering him and punishing him with hammerfists. Bermudez lets Garza back up, as he's done several times. Garza shoots, is met by a sprawl and Bermudez ends up taking Garza down. Bermudez trying to get his left leg free so he can move to side control or full mount. Bermudez stands again, towering over his much taller opponent, whose advantage is much less important when he's on his back. Bermudez pounces. He's got him mounted and the hooks are in. Garza rolls. Roland Delorme vs. Nick Denis (135-pound limit)

Round one: Debnis comes out swinging and lands a decent left. Delorme goes for the takedown but Denis able to defend. The fighters clinch up and Denis throws a short elbow. They break and Denis lands a good couple of punches. Denis with a solid inside leg kick, followed by a combo of punches. Denis pushes forward and knocks Delorme down who now works off his back. Denis on top and Delorme looks for an armbar. Nothing doing. Back on their feet. Denis grabs hold of the clinch and pushes up against the fence. Delorme reverses. Denis reverses him right back and breaks free. Delorme throws a leg kick that partially lands but is answered bya big punch. Big right hand by Denis! And another. Denis is teeing off! Delomre looks like he might be in trouble. Denis with the muay thai clinch and a very dangerous knee. Delorme drops down to pull guard, clearly not enjoying the stand up aspect. Denis inside Delorme's full guard. Delorme is finally able to get back up and lands a big right hand. Now Denis looks hurt! The momentum continues to furiously go back and forth! Delorme gets the takedown with 20 seconds to go. He gets his back. He's sinking in a deep rear-naked choke! Denis taps with one second to go in the round! What a crazy comeback by Delorme!

Mike Massenzio vs. Karlos Vemola (185-pound limit)

Round one: Vemola comes out with a leg kick then a flurry of punches. Massenzio tries to take him down but Vemola escapes. The two are now tied up and Vemola takes him down. Vemola on top holding the neck. Massenzio finds a gap and is able to scurry out the back. Big leg kick by Vemola. Massenzio ties him up and lands a hood knee to the body. Good left hand bu Massenzio. They're tied up against the fence. Vemola grabs hold of his neck and drops down for a guillotine attempt off his back. It looks tight, but Massenzio is able to wiggle out and is now in top position. Referee warns the fighters to work. Hammerfist by Massenzio. Just over two minutes to go. Massenzio pushing the head down and tries to get his other leg free and Vemola scrambles to get back up. Massenzio pushes him up against the fence and works the knees. Massenzio is teeing off with punches. Vemola shoots in head first and leaves his neck open for a choke. Massenzio grabs hold of it and is working for a front headlock with just under one minute to go in the round. Vemola finally is able to spin out of harm's way and back to his feet. Thirty seconds left. Vemola pushes off and throws a big high kick that misses. Massenzio throws a combo and lands a couple good punches. Vemola finishes the round with a good takedown. 10-9 Massenzio.

Round two: Massenzio with a big left cross to the head that jars Vemola. Vemola rushes in to tie him up and gets reversed. The action hits the mat as Vemola works for a Peruvian necktie. Very ambitious. Massenzio defends but gives up his back. Vemola working for the rear naked choke...and he gets it! Massenzio has tapped! It's over!
