ONE FC, the Asian mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion that is working furiously to take over an entire continent, will host its third professional event when ONE FC 3: " War of Lions" invades the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, TODAY (Sat., March 31, 2012)!
MMAmania.com will provide LIVE blow-by-blow, round-by-round coverage of ALL the ONE FC 3 mixed martial arts (MMA) action below, beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET and running right on through to the end of the card, which can be viewed in its in entirety on YouTube.
The card features some very exciting match ups, including a main event between Zorobabel Moreira and Felipe Enomoto, who gained a good deal of notoriety after his submission win over Ole Laursen at ONE FC 2 in Jakarta, Indonesia on Feb. 11, 2012. Just a little more than a month later, Enomoto will take on a very tough Moreira, who comes into their bout riding a three-fight win streak.
ONE FC 3 also will showcase Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Richie Whitson, as well as Strikeforce and DREAM veterans Tatsuya Kawajiri and Melvin Manhoef (all three involved in separate fights).

Zorobabel Moreira vs. Felipe Enomoto (155-pound limit)
Round one: Moreira comes out with a big front kick to the body. Good outside leg kick by Moreira. Enomoto throwing kicks as well but cannot seem to get his timing down. Another thunderous leg kick by Moreira. Enomoto comes in with a combo of punches but is unable to land anything definitive. Moreira scores with a couple of good strikes to the head. Moreira's range and length is looking problematic for Enomoto thus far. Enomoto clinches up, but Moreira is able to break free after a bit of positioning. Big front head kick attempt by Moreira that misses but surely sends a message. Big left hook by Moreira that nearly lands on the button. Enomoto gets clipped and falls to his back. Moreira pounces. Moreira working to get to side control. One minute left. Enomoto able to sweep from his back to give himself just long enough of a respite to get back to his feet. Another good front kick to the body by Moreira. Good ouside leg kick by Moreira. Good jab and then an inside leg kick by Enomoto. Another good combo by Enomoto who is starting to get off a bit as the round comes to a close.
Round two: Moreira with the front kick followed by a crisp one two punch combo. Good front kick to the head by Moreira! They're tangled up now against the fence. Good elbow inside the clinch by Enomoto, then another. Moreira, not liking the clinch action, breaks loose and back to center. Enomoto is being a lot more aggressive now and throwing a larger volume of punches. Moreira throws a kick that gets caught and then is clipped by a punch. Good inside leg kick by Enomoto. Good jab by Moreira. Moreira is continually using a slapping leg kick to set up several-punch combos. Great outside leg kick by Moreira. Good jab from Enomoto. Moreira misses with a big overhand right and Enomoto grabs hold of his waist. Moreira reverses and gets the takedown. Moreira throws a downward kick when Enimoto was on his back that apparently landed somewhere illegal as the referee pauses action and warns Moreira. Somewhat of an odd break. Back to action and the bell sounds almost immediately.
Round three: Huge cut kick by Moreira who sweeps Enomoto's legs out from under him. He instantly jumps on top of hism and he's working for an armbar. It's close to being finished and he gets it! It's over! Great submission win for Moreira!

Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Donald Sanchez (145-pound limit)
Round one: Sanchez comes out lookign to tough gloves and Kawajiri declines. Kawajiri rushes in throwing punches, changes levels and is working for the takedown now. Kawajiri sweeps and he's on top now, working isdie the full guard of Sanchez. Kawajiri lands a few hammerfists and an elbow to the head. Sanchez doing a decent job of controlling him and even lands a few good strikes from the bottom. Kawajiri passes the guard and has side control. Kawajiri tries to inch up to full mount but loses position. Sanchez is on top now but in danger of a triangle choke. Kawajiri is locking it in. Sanchez could be in trouble. He taps! It's over!
Final result: Tatsuya Kawajiri via submission (triangle choke) at 3:27 round one
Eduard Folayang vs. Ole Laursen (155-pound limit)
Round one: Inside leg kick from Folayang. Outside leg kick from Laursen, answered with a big overhand left from Folayang. Laursen with a big left hook that clips Folayang. Folayang tangles him up, but Laursen uses a leg trip to sweep and is on top now. Laursen is working for the kimura. Folayang defends and finally gets back up. Furious action so far in this one between the two toughest lightweights in ONE FC. Laursen has his back now from a standing position. Folayang is able to shake off and now Folayang has Laursen's back, on the canvas. Foyalang is trying to get the hooks in, and now he's got them. Foyalang trying to get his arm under the chin and Laursen gets out. Laursen has his back now in the standing position. Folayang throws a couple reverse elbows and Laursen finally is able to sweep and get him ot the ground again. And almost as soon as they go down, they're back up. One minute left. Big body kick from Folayang. Big overhand right attempt by Laursen that misses. Good jab by Laursen. Good leg kick by Laursen but he is met by a right cross from Folayang. Good right hand by Folayang at the bell as the round comes to an end. Very exciting first round!
Round two: The round begins with both fighters exchanging leg kicks. Big right hand to the head by Laursen. Folayang shoots and gets the takedown but Laursen scrambles and is right back up. Big left hook by Folayang. Big one two punch combo by Folayang. Laursen lands a huge strike, puts Folayang on his back and follows up with another round of punches. Folayang recovers, gets back up and scores the takedown. Laursen is back up right away. Good body kick by Laursen. Sidekick to the body by Folayang. Very nice punch combo by Folayang. Laursen smiles but he was clearly hurt. Laursen's left eye is starting to swell badly. Folayang is now starting to pull ahead in this one, as his combos are a little more precise and he is landing a higher volume of strikes. Laursen shoots for the double leg takedown and eventually gets it. Laursen in side control for a second but it doesn't last. Folayang is able to scramble back to his feet. Big elbow to the head by Folayang. Folayang is really starting to land at a high clip now as Laursen is looking a bit gassed and having trouble keeping up. Folayang lands two kicks in a row to the midsection. The round ends and Folayang appears to be pulling away.
Round three: Big overhand right by Laursen. Hard outside leg kick by Laursen. Laursen throws an inside leg kick but drops his hands long enough to eat a couple of quick punches from Folayang. Big head kick by Folayang. These fighters are brawling now! They're both throwing everything they have at each other and it is very entetaining to watch! Laursen ties him up, gets the leg trip but Folayang is back up. Crazy scramble as both fighters take turns having the other's back, but neither can secure anything. Three minutes left in what has been an all-out war. Spinning backfist by Folayang that partially lands. Huge combo by folayang. Good knee to the body by Laursen. Good jab by Laursen. Great left hook to the head by Folayang. The pace has started to slow down some but the punches and kicks keep flying. One minute left. Folayang throws a couple of punch combinations, back to back. Great jab by Folayang. These guys look exhausted! Laursen tries to grab hold of aleg and he gets the takedown. Laursen has his back and lands a few punches. The round and fight ends with Laursen on top. Very close fight!
Final result: Ole Laursen via split decision
Yuya Shirai vs. Fabricio Monteiro (170-pound limit)
Round one: Shirai very busy on the feet, pawing with the jab. Shirai rushes in with a several punch combo. Shirai lands a good right cross to the head. Shirai lands another good right hand to the hand. Shirai doing a great job of keeping Monteiro on his heels. Both fighters are exchanging and Shirai is winning for the most part. Shirai with a very nice judo throw, but they're back on their feet fairly quickly. Monteiro ties him up and brings him to the fence. Just under three minutes to go. Shirai reverses but is reversed instantly. The fighters are battling for position. Shirai pushes off and they're back to center. Good right hand from Shirai, followed by a big uppercut that barely missed. Good body kick by Monteiro, who then clinches up again against the cage. Monteiro clearly is not liking how the stand up is going and is working to get the fight to the ground, if he can. One minute left. The exchanges of striking continue, and each time, Shirai is getting the better of Monteiro. by landing crisp combinations. Monteiro ties him up again against the fence. Shirai reverses and the round ends.
Round two: Monteiro comes out a bit more aggressive, throwing punches in bunches, then he ties him up and brings him to the cage. Good punches inside the clinch from Monteiro. Monteiro working for underhooks. I could be wrong, but Shirai looks tired. Shirai reverses, but again, is reversed himself instantly. Big elbow from Monteiro, who is making good use of dirty boxing and thai strikes. Good inside knee to the quad by Monteiro. The referee wants more action and breaks them up. Back to center. Good body kick by Shirai. Monteiro clinches up and eats a big knee. Monteiro throws a halfhearted kick and follows up with a clinch. Shirai is able to break free this time. Superman punch by Monteiro that misses badly, but he follows the gameplan and clinches right afterwards. Shirai pushes off and lands a good kick to the body. Shirai goes for a big judo throw but accidentally gives up his back for a second. He's able to work free and they're back on the fence, clinched up. Shirai really looks like he's getting frustrated. Good knee by Monteiro. Shirai escapes. Back to center. Less than a minute to go. Good stuff jab by Shirai. Monteiro comes forward with a big uppercut, followed by several other short, fast punches. Close fight, thus far.
Round three: Big outside leg kick by Monteiro. Shirai throws a big high kick that is largely blocked. Monteiro throws a body kick and then shoots but is unable to get a hold of Shirai. Another good outside leg kick by Monteiro. Monteiro throws a kick that is caught by Shirai, followed by a left hook to the head by Shirai. Right on cue, Monteiro ties him and, this time, he's able to get the takedown. Monteiro working inside Shirai's full guard. Shirai is able to sneak out the back door but Monteiro takes his back from a standing position. Shirai is being very cautious, leaning forward and trying not to give away a submission. Finally, Shirai is able to get free. Two minutes left in the round and in the fight. Good combination by Monteiro. Shirai looks like he got a finger in the eye and the action is paused momentarily. Out of the break, Monteiro comes out as the aggressor, throwing several punches consecutively and landing a couple of them. Monteiro ties him up again and has underhooks. One minute left and Shirai is really going to have to do something big here if he wants to win. Monteiro is continually tangling Shirai up and has been successful with dirty boxing and muay thai striking in those positions. Monteiro with the head kick. Big spinning backfist attempt by Shirai as Monteiro simultaneously throws a spinning back kick. Neither strike lands cleanly, but a fun way to end the fight.
Final result: Fabricio Monteiro via unanimous decision
Melvin Manhoef vs. Yoshiyuki Nakanishi (195-pound limit)
Round one: Nakanishi throwing a lot of kicks out the gate. Manhoef loosk to answer with a huge head kick that misses. Manhoef lands a nice uppercut. Manhoef with an inside leg kick. Nakanishi with a straight left hand to the head. Manhoef shoots in and gets underhooks, he's still working for the takedown. Manhoef pulls back and throws another really big head kick that just barely missed. Nice inside leg kick from Manhoef. Just over three minutes to go and so far Manhoef seems to have the advantage in the stand up. The fight has not hit the canvas just yet. Good body kick from Nakanishi. The referee has called time. Manhoef has a seriously bad cut on his shin. Somehow, he split his shin wide open during one of his kicks. Blood is spewing everywhere. The doctor is checking him out and they may have to stop this. They're stopping the fight. What a shame and an unfortunate way for this fight to end, but the injury is atrocious. It's one of the worst lacerations I've ever seen. I won't go into any further detail, but we'll probably have pictures of this on the site later.
Final result: No contest, due to an injury to Melvin Manhoef's shin
Eddie Ng vs. Jian Kai Chee (155-pound limit)
Round one: Ng is the agressor off the bat. He comes forward and lands a big right hand! Chee is down. Ng jumps to full mount and he is raining down some serious ground and pound! It's over! The introductions took longer than the actual fight!
Final result: Eddie Ng via TKO (strikes) at 0:43 of round one

Masakazu Imanari vs. Kevin Belingon (135-pound limit)
Round one: It's just started and Imanari is already running around. Instantly, he flops to guard and Belingon makes a terrible mistake by rushing in. Imanari has him in a potential leglock. Belingon deperately fighting to get free. Imanari switches to an inside heel hook. Belingon looks to be turning the wrong way. He taps! It's over. Apparently, Belingon has watched exactly zero of Imanari's fights before today.
Final result: Masakazu Imanari via submission (heel hook) at 1:18 of round one
Jeet Toshi vs. Nicole Chua (095-pound limit)
Round one: Toshi coems in with a big high kick. Chua clinches up and throws a combo of punches. Chua shoots and gets the big power takedown. Chua is inside Toshi's butterfly guard and working to get side control. She's got side control now and Toshi rolls. Chua almost gets her back but Toshi rolls back. Chua has full mount! She's teeing off on her! Punches and elbows from the top! Toshi rolls over. Chua gets the RNC in, it looks deep. Toshi finally has no choice but to tap!
Final result: Nicole Chua via submission (rear-naked choke) at 2:07 of round one
Quek Kim Hock vs. Major Overall (155-pound limit)
Round one: Overall starts off with a bevy of kicks. Hock lands a good left hook to the head. Overall goes for the takedown but eats a few strikes in the process. Back to standing. Hock is really being aggressive and stalking. Overall throws a superman punch that clips the side of the head, then charges in to tie him up against the fence. They're posturing for position now in the corner. Hock backs off and lands a big left hand. He lands a couple more big punches. Overall to the ground and he tries to go for a heel hook as Hock rushes in. Hock gets back up and makes Overall get back to his feet. Hock is really getting off now with combos of huge punches. Overall is eating a lot of strikes and looks very uncomfortable. Overall misses on a takedown and Hock goes to the floor with him. Overall reverses but Hock scrambles back to his feet. Hock is putting on a boxing exhibition. Overall gets a sneaky takedown and is in Hock's full guard. Not a lot of work going on...and they're back up. Just under a minute to go. Big right hand and then a knee from Hock! Overall charges in and lands a flying knee! Hock recovers and snaps off a big jab. Big looping left hand from Overall and the round is over. Exciting start to this one.
Round two: Overall comes out looking to pick up where he left off and is much busier. Overall with the outside leg kick. Overall shoots but is met by a sprawl and is unsuccessful. Hock coming forward. Hock wit a good right hand. Overall feints the side kick but pulls back. Good combo to a back fist by Overall. Overall goes for the takedown but misses. Hock takes his back and gets the hooks in. He's going for the choke. He's got him in the body lock and is working to soften him up and get the choke in. Three minutes to go, lots of time. Overall does a GREAT job of reversing and he's on top now! Hock scrambles and gets back up. Overall is starting to taunt Hock, encouraging him to brawl. Overall rushes in again for the takedown and Hock has his back once more! He's got the choke in! In a matter of seconds, Hock has choked Overall out, completely unconscious! That's what you get for talking trash. ha.

Yodsanan Sityodtong vs. Jiang Long Yun (135-pound limit)
Round one: Yun comes out throwing leg kicks..and he walks into a huge right hand...and another! Sityodtong is standing over Yun who is on his back. He's throwing bombs! Now he pounces on him. He's back up. Sityodtong lets him stand, apparently wanting to inflict more damage on the feet. Yun is keeping his hands dangerously low, and he already looks gassed. Sityodtong throws a big outside leg kick. Yun shoots and Sityodtong defends. They're up against the cage and Yun gets a huge slam and the takedown. Yun is close to being in side control. He's got it. He's working for a submission. Yun is nailing Sityodtong in the ribs with knees. Yun has full mount! Sityodtong is just laying on his back. It looks like he has no idea how to escape. This could spell disaster for Sityodtong. What a turn of events! Yun has a very high full mount and is raining ground and pound. Sityodtong rolls over and Yun takes his back! Just over a minute to go in the round. Yun has hooks in. Yun is landing some big punches to side of his opponent's head. Sityodtong is turtling up, really doing nothing. Yun has the rear naked choke in deep! Sityodtong refuses to tap and goes unconscious! He's out! It's over!
Final result: Jiang Long Yun via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:28 of round one
Danny van Bergen vs. Richie Whitson (155-pound limit)
Round one: Whitson starts off with a leg kick and is answered by an overhand right. Whitson with another outside leg kick. Van Bergen responds with another big punch but Whitson responds with a flurry of his own. Whitson shoots for the double leg takedown and gets it. Whitson on top now, but van Bergen is working for an armbar. And it's over! "Hell Boy" looked to be okay but van Bergen was relentless and finally got the tap.
Final result: Danny van Bergen via submission (armbar) at 3:41 of round one
