Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently added an interesting welterweight match-up to its UFC on Fox 3 fight card featuring top 170-pound prospect John Hathaway taking on undefeated up-and-comer Pascal Krauss.
"The Hitman" will try to shoot down "Panzer" on May 5, 2012, at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ.
Hathaway (15-1) was on the fast-track to welterweight greatness, laying waste to the likes of Rick Story and Diego Sanchez; however, he was trapped in "Quicksand" against Mike Pyle and saw his undefeated record snapped at UFC 120.
He was able to rebound with a split decision win over Kris McCray at UFC Fight Night 24 early last year.
Also running roughshod over a good portion of the 170-pounders is Krauss (10-0), who made his Octagon debut at UFC 122 with a unanimous decision win over Mark Scanlon. It was the first fight in the German grappler's career that went to the scorecards.
Here's how the UFC on FOX 3 card is shaping up:
