UFC on FX 2 weigh in results, information and details for 'Alves vs Kampmann' on March 2 in Sydney

The official weigh in event for UFC on FX 2: "Alves vs. Kampmann" is set to take place on Friday, March 2, 2012, live from the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Because of the difference in time zones, the weigh in event will stream stateside live on Thursday night (March 1) at 10 p.m. ET.

As usual, will provide up-to-the-second coverage of the UFC on FX 2 weigh-ins, as well as provide a detailed recap of the festivities as soon as they conclude.

UFC on FX 2, which will mark the promotion's second appearance on the cable television channel, will be headlined by a welterweight showdown pitting former title contender Thiago Alves against the venerable Martin Kampmann.

Also booked for the Sydney fight card are the semifinals for the flyweight tournament featuring match-ups pitting Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani.

Here is the current UFC on FX 2 fight card and line-up:

170 lbs.: Thiago Alves vs. Martin Kampmann

125 lbs.: Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall
125 lbs.: Joseph Benavidez vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani
185 lbs.: Court McGee vs. Constantinos Philippou

Preliminary card (FUEL TV):

145 lbs.: Mackens Semerzier vs. Daniel Pineda
205 lbs.: James Te Huna vs. Aaron Rosa
185 lbs.: Andrew Craig vs. Kyle Noke
170 lbs.: Jake Hecht vs. T.J. Waldburger
205 lbs.: Anthony Perosh vs. Nick Penner
145 lbs.: Cole Miller vs. Steven Siler

Preliminary card (Facebook):

265 lbs.: Oli Thompson vs. Shawn Jordan

Remember that will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the main card action on fight night (Friday, March 2), which is slated to air at 8 p.m. ET on the FX Channel. The latest quick updates of the live action will begin to flow earlier than that around 6 p.m. ET with the preliminary bouts on Facebook and FUEL TV.
