UFC on FOX 3: Mike Massenzio vs Karlos Vemola fight set for May 5 in New Jersey

UFC on FOX 3: "Diaz vs. Miller," which is all set to go down at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sat., May 5, 2012, is quickly filling its bill.

The latest addition to the third network television event is a middleweight showdown that will see "The Master of Disaster," Mike Massenzio, go head on against beefy bumrusher Karlos Vemola.

The fight was announced by the UFC earlier today.

Massenzio comes into the contest having just fallen prey to the dreaded heel hooks of Rousimar Palhares at UFC 142. He survived the encounter with the Brazilian tree stump without getting seriously injured, however, making this upcoming bout against Vemola possible.

Vemola, meanwhile, is also coming off a loss, having just dropped a unanimous decision to Ronny Markes in a short notice fight at UFC on Versus 5.

If you can believe it, "The Terminator" began his Octagon career at heavyweight, where he lost to Jon Madsen. Then he dropped down to light heavyweight and picked up a victory over Seth Petruzelli before losing to Markes and making the decision to drop even further down to middleweight.

Every time this man loses, he drops down in weight. His kidneys, if nothing else, will be crying out for his triumph in this upcoming 185-pound scrap.

UFC on FOX 3 is all set to pop off on May 5 in New Jersey with a thrilling main event match-up pitting lightweight top contenders Nate Diaz vs. Jim Miller. The winner, presumably, will earn a title shot against whomever is the 155-pound champion at that time.

Also booked is a heavyweight slugfest featuring Pat Barry taking on Lavar Johnson.
