Bombs away!
Stipe Miocic, the undefeated Croatian-American mixed martial artist, stepped inside the Octagon last night (Wed., Feb. 15, 2012) at UFC on FUEL TV 1 in Omaha to put his spotless record on the line against fellow unbeaten heavyweight Philip De Fries.
The result is what you see above. Miocic ate a few shots early but stayed cool and fired back with a right hand that had stopped De Fries dead in his tracks. He then made the ultimate striking mistake by backing up in a straight line, all while Miocic chased him down to finish him with brutal shots.
And now he's $50,000 richer thanks to his being awarded "Knockout of the Night" honors. For 43 seconds of work, that's not a bad gig, Maniacs.
