If you call them out, they will come.

After impressively submitting Max Holloway at UFC 143 this past Sat., Feb. 4, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dustin Poirier told members of the media that he wasn't quite ready for a featherweight title shot.

Instead, he had his eyes locked firmly on those of another 145-pound contender with a solid track record who has also been tearing through the division as of late -- Chan Sung Jung.

Shortly after they engaged in a brief Twitter feud and it wasn't long before the powers that be took notice and sent out the necessary paperwork to make this a reality.

And so it comes to pass that Poirier vs. Sung Jung will headline the UFC on FUEL TV 3 event scheduled for May 15, 2012, in Fairfax, Virginia, as announced by the promotion a short time ago.

As stated previously, Poirier most recently ran through Max Holloway this past weekend with a wicked triangle/armbar submission inside the first round. The win gave him his fifth in a row, including a now perfect (4-0) record since moving over to the UFC.

Sung Jung, meanwhile, is also flawless inside the Octagon, in more ways than one. After an 0-2 stint in WEC, he's put together consecutive award-winning performances against Leonard Garcia and Mark Hominick, respectively.

In Garcia's case, "The Korean Zombie" twisted him up like a pretzel and earned "Submission of the Night" (and even the year) in the process, while he stoned Hominick in just seven seconds for "Knockout of the Night" back on Dec. 10 of last year.

"Fight of the Night" forthcoming? Let's hope so.

UFC on FUEL TV 3 is scheduled to go down on May 15, 2012, at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia. Poirier vs. Sung Jung will serve as the night's main event while other bouts booked for the card include Donald Cerrone vs. Yves Edwards, Thiago Silva vs. Igor Pokrajac and Tom Lawlor vs. Jason MacDonald.

As always, stay tuned to MMAmania.com for future updates to this still developing fight card.
