Matt Brown scores a stunning knockout of Mike Swick in the second round of their welterweight showdown kicking off the main card of the UFC on Fox 5: "Henderson vs. Diaz" event last night (Sat., Dec. 8, 2012) at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington.
Despite that, he was critical of his own performance in his post-fight interview with FUEL TV:
"I wouldn't say I'm completely unhappy with it; I'm happy with the end result and a few things I did. There's no such thing as a perfect performance. I just feel like what I did in the second round, I could have done in the first round."
The victory continues a super weird career arc for "The Immortal." Between March 27, 2010 and Nov. 19, 2011, he lost four of five fights. Since then, he's reeled off four wins in a row, three of those impressive finishes.
Odd.
Swick, meanwhile, saw his roaring comeback screech to a halt and he's now lost three of four bouts dating back to Nov. 2011. He's in no danger of losing his job or anything, but he's got a ticket back tot he drawing board, that's for sure.
