The UFC on Fox 5: "Henderson vs. Diaz" weigh-in event that took place tonight (Dec. 7, 2012) at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington, featured no less than three fighters failing to make weight for their contracted bouts.
That includes headliner Nate Diaz, who initially tipped the scales at 155.6-pounds. The good news on that front is he managed to get down to 155 on his third attempt, making his title fight against Ben Henderson official.

Two separate preliminary card fighters also had trouble hitting their marks. Raphael Assuncao weighed 136.4-pounds for his bantamweight battle opposite Mike Easton but was able to get down under the limit on his second attempt.
Finally, Henry Martinez somehow managed to come in at 158.8-pounds for his lightweight scrap against Daron Cruickshank. Unlike Diaz and Assuncao, though, he failed to get down to 156-pounds and will forfeit 20-percent of his purse.
Despite all these issues, the event will proceed as planned. Hopefully no one slips on a banana peel at their hotel tonight.
