Two more fights got confirmed for the DREAM 18 / GLORY 4 card at the Saitama Super Arena on New Year's Eve with ONE FC fighters Bibiano Fernandes and Melvin Manhoef both handed tough assignments on their return to Japan.
Manhoef is taking on Canadian / Korean UFC and PRIDE veteran Denis Kang while Fernandes, who is the reigning DREAM 135-pound title holder, will be going up against a Japanese opponent in the form of current DEEP bantamweight champion Yoshiro Maeda.
GLORY signed up the ONE FC Network last week and have wasted no time in using that connection to boost the calibre of the MMA section of the card. In total three ONE FC fighters have been confirmed, Manhoef, Fernandes and Phil Baroni, while it is an open secret that Shinya Aoki, another ONE FC fighter, is going to participate.
Baroni will be going up against another veteran in Hayato Sakurai while Aoki's opponent is widely rumoured to be unbeatan American Will Brooks. Other MMA fighters awaiting matchups include Tatsuya Kawajiri, Hiroki Takaya and Satoru Kitaoka.
