Forrest Griffin hurt, pulled from UFC 155 fight against Phil Davis

UFC president Dana White revealed that Forrest Griffin has injured his knee, tearing his MCL and straining his ACL which will take him out of his scheduled bout against Phil Davis which was set for UFC 155 on Dec. 29, 2012.

That damn injury bug just won't go away.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White revealed today (Dec. 5, 2012) via his Twitter account that Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 1 winner and former light heavyweight champion, Forrest Griffin, has been struck down with a knee injury just a few weeks away from his scheduled bout against Phil Davis at UFC 155 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Though White didn't confirm that Griffin is actually out of the bout against "Mr. Wonderful," it's pretty much common sense, since a torn MCL would result in him failing his pre-fight physical, so it's safe to say Forrest will not be competing on Dec. 29, 2012 in "Sin City."

Lavar Johnson recently had to pull out of his heavyweight fight against Brendan Schaub due to injury, which forced "The Hybrid" off this weekend's (Dec. 8, 2012) UFC on FOX 5 event card altogether.

As Dana so eloquently put it, "The saga continues at the UFC!"

Keep it tuned to MMAmania.com as further developments come in and a potential replacement for Griffin is determined.
