Fight week, blog week!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White goes viral to promote his upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) event, which he brands in the video above the, "baddest fight card ever assembled on free TV."
UFC on FOX 5, which features a lightweight championship bout between division kingpin Ben Henderson defending his 155-pound belt against Nate Diaz in the main event, will emanate from the KeyArena in Seattle, Wash., on Dec. 8, 2012. In addition, Alexander Gustafsson collides with Mauricio Rua in 205-pound action, while Rory MacDonald looks to continue his rise to the top of the 170-pound heap at the expense of B.J. Penn.
White is quick to point out that after the two-hour MMA event on national television, which begins promptly at 8 p.m. ET, Manny Pacquiao takes on Juan Manuel Marquez in a high-profile boxing prize fight that will air on HBO pay-per-view (PPV).
Indeed, it's quite the weekend for fight fans.
In the rest of the episode, White goes to a local bull riding event, Ronda Rousey flies in a fighter jet, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 coaches, Chael Sonnen and Jon Jones, share their UFC on FOX 5 predictions, and we go behind-the-scenes at UFC 154 for the promotion's return to Montreal, Quebec, Canada, last month.
Enjoy.
