UFC 155 results: Leonard Garcia won't be cut after fourth straight losses

Four losses in as many fights? It matters not when you're Leonard Garcia and your biggest supporter is none other than UFC President Dana White, the man who ensures you maintain employment with the world's largest fight promotion.

It must feel good to have 100-percent backing from the most powerful man in the fight game, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White.

That's what featherweight brawler Leonard Garcia has, as evidenced by the fact that he won't be cut following his latest defeat, a split decision loss to Max Holloway on the preliminary card of last night's (Sat., Dec. 29, 2012) UFC 155: "Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2" event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This coming from White himself, who said as much at the post-fight press conference.

"Sean Shelby, one of our matchmakers, came to me during the fight sometime and said -- I guess Leonard Garcia was in a situation to be cut if he had lost tonight -- he came to me and said, 'Dana, I don't want to cut this guy. And I said, 'There's no way in hell we're cutting Leonard Garcia.'"

It makes sense that White wouldn't want to part with Garcia from an entertainment standpoint. After all, "Bad Boy" has earned six "Fight of the Night" awards under the Zuffa banner since 2007 and consistently appeases the "JUST BLEED" crowd.

But it makes no sense at all from a sporting perspective. He's lost four fights in a row against fighters who aren't exactly competing at the top of the card. Going back even further, he's 3-7-1 since March of 2009, never once putting together a winning streak during that time.

But hey, he's all about WAR! STAND AND BANG!

Any Maniacs in the house upset that Garcia gets to keep his gig with the UFC? Or are you excited to see him back for at least one more go round inside the Octagon?
