UFC 155: "Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2" from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, is officially in the books after a very top-heavy night (Dec. 29, 2012) of pay-per-view (PPV) mixed martial arts (MMA) action.
The main event of the evening, Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez, was a rematch between two of the best and most dangerous Heavyweight fighters in the sport today. Velasquez came out with a purpose, looking for redemption from the opening bell, shooting for takedowns to avoid getting put away again by the hard-hitting Brazilian knockout artist.
He didn't get them, early, but he connected with a clean overhand right that put "Cigano" on the corner of Queer Street and WhereTheFuckIsThis Place. From that point forward, Velasquez pretty much had his way with dos Santos, scoring takedowns and landing shots pretty much at will en route to a dominant, five-round unanimous decision victory.
Trilogy!
Anyway, as usual, all the stars of the show came to dish the dirt on the event immediately afterward at the post-fight press conference, including dos Santos, Velasquez, Jim Miller and Joe Lauzon, among others. Naturally, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White -- who almost always emcees the post-fight event wrap up shows -- was also in attendance.
Enjoy.
