There aren't many female fighters who first got their start in mixed martial arts (MMA) as ring girls, but after taking look through "12 Gauge" Paige VanZant's Christmas gallery, it probably comes as no surprise.
While the upcoming Invicta Fighting Championships 4 event will be the all-female promotion's first pay-per-view (PPV), have no fear. You'll have an opportunity to watch VanZant completely free of charge on the preliminary portion of the card.
VanZant is a firecracker, bursting onto the scene this year and winning both of her first two fights in hostile territory via decision. The former cheerleader and fitness model trains out of the House of Ryu in Las Vegas, Nevada, under former Xtreme Couture coach Ron Frazier.
The 18-year-old will be taking on American Top Team's Tecia Torres in a battle of two of the top women's strawweight (115 lb.) prospects in just under two weeks (Jan. 5, 2013) at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.
