Austin Trout wins a unanimous decision (117-111, 117-111, 119-109) over Miguel Cotto last night (Sat., Dec. 1, 2012) at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York, a venue the Puerto Rican legend has dominated throughout his illustrious career. Put simply, Trout was amazing, going into enemy territory and pulling off an upset few expected he could. Cotto was game throughout, never wavering and keeping himself in it to the point that a few pundits wondered if the judges would favor him on the scorecards. But the right decision was ultimately made and Trout made well have had his coming out party in the "Big Apple."
