Heavyweight fan favorite Pat Barry returned to the cage tonight (Sat., Dec. 15, 2012) at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 Finale at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, to take on Strikeforce import Shane Del Rosario.
Two big men with heavy hands? Fireworks, right?
Not in the first round. Barry did his thing early, firing off those tree trunk kicks but he spent most of the first round defending against takedowns and when Del Rosario finally got one, "HD" spent the rest of the round defending submission attempts.
It wasn't even close.
Then, round two.
Del Rosario's inability to get the finish in the first proved to be his undoing. He was just tired enough that Barry was able to slip a hard left hand by him and once he leaped forward to finish, the right hand he scored to the chin destroyed Del Rosario's chin.
Bone to dust, just like that.
