It was a busy weekend in combat sports, as Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned to the FOX network with its "Henderson vs. Diaz" event on Saturday night (Dec. 8, 2012) from the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington, featuring Ben Henderson defending his lightweight championship with a decision win over Nate Diaz.

The better fighter won in "The Evergreen State."

A few states away, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, a much bigger battle unfolded as pound-for-pound boxing great Manny Pacquiao returned to the ring to battle his arch nemesis, Juan Manuel Marquez.

It was meeting number four between the two and it was quite possibly better than the previous three combined. Whereas there was no clear outcome in the 36 rounds prior, it took just six for Marquez to settle the score once and for all. He did so with a straight right bomb down the pipe that put Pacquiao out cold.
