Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) continues to stay busy, making waves and big news as the announcements for 2013 keep on coming fast and furious.
Earlier in the evening, it was officially confirmed that the biggest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion in the world would return to the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, with UFC on Fuel TV 8 on March 2, 2013.
The news (which came by way of FUEL TV's "UFC Tonight") was accompanied by the announcement of two other confirmed UFC events for the upcoming year.
UFC 157 has a found a home at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., which has housed three UFC events during the organization's history, and will now play host for the fourth time. No fights have yet been confirmed for the event, which will take place on Feb. 23, 2013.
UFC 157 will mark the first time that the Octagon will be set up in "The Heart of Orange County" since the inaugural UFC on Fox card, which showcased a Heavyweight title slugfest between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos on Nov. 12, 2011.
It was also announced that UFC on FUEL TV 7 will definitely take place the prior weekend (Feb. 16, 2012). No venue or fight match ups have been determined for the event, as of yet, either.
The announcements mean that the UFC now has six events slated for 2013, which are all set to take place in the first three months of the year.
