UFC Quick Quote: Nick Diaz is entertaining like Jersey Shore or Honey Boo Boo

Here's a name you don't often hear in the mix of welterweights hoping to make a splash at the top of the division: Mike Pierce. He's looking to change that with recent comments on the always polarizing Nick Diaz.

"If that happens, it happens, great, I'll be rooting for Josh Koscheck I guess. I'm not in love with either of the guys, but Koscheck is a guy I've already fought once, and he's definitely a good fighter and everything. I wouldn't take that away from him. Maybe it's just the way I see Nick interact with the media. I look at him and shake my head like, 'What the hell?' I guess that's part of the fun with him is the way he responds to certain things, and the antics that he pulls in the Octagon. It's entertaining like the Jersey Shore is entertaining or Honey Boo Boo is entertaining. It's a freaking train wreck, yeah, of course it's going to get ratings and everything and people are going to talk about it, but it's not my preference, to be honest. I'm still rooting for Josh Koscheck, if that fight happens."

-- Mike Pierce has already fought three times this year, losing to Josh Koscheck back in February before defeating Carlos Eduardo Rocha and Aaron Simpson in June and October. That means he's fighting his way back up the ranks but while he's doing so, he has to constantly hear about guys like Koscheck and Nick Diaz, who have been calling each other out for a fight once the latter returns from suspension early next year. Pierce told "The Joe Show" if that bout happens, he'll be rooting for "Kos" because, although he lost to the former welterweight title contender, he can handle Koscheck far more than he can put up with Diaz. He's a train wreck, apparently, like Jersey Shore or Honey Boo Boo and that might be entertaining for the mindless drones out there, it simply isn't Pierce's cup of tea. Will this help lead to a match-up later on? We'll have to wait and see on that. The more important question, however, and the one that could ultimately determine if it would, is if any of you paying Maniacs would put your hard earned coin down to see it. Well? Would you?
