Baddest Man On The Planet: Junior Dos Santos down to fight Jon Jones at Heavyweight

Junior dos Santos says he's 'the baddest man on the planet' and if and when Jon Jones moves up to the heavyweight division, he has no issues going toe-to-toe with him.

No "Bones" about it, this Brazilian has no problems fighting Jon Jones.

Current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, recently revealed he would ‘definitely' be making a move up to the Heavyweight division in 2013. If and when he eventually gets there, Junior dos Santos, the current ruler of the UFC's 265-pound division, will be waiting to greet him.

After running roughshod over the 205-pound division, which was often referred to as the most dangerous in the promotion, racking up wins over a murderer's row of highly skilled opponents, Jones has proven to be one of best fighters in the world, climbing the pound-for pound rankings with each and every jaw-dropping performance.

But, he isn't the ‘baddest man on the planet' according to "Cigano," who says he is one that lays claim to such a title.

Appearing on "UFC Tonight," the heavy-handed striker said though he and Jones have mutual respect and are ‘nice' to each other, he has no issues fighting him at heavyweight, should the UFC decide to match them up.

"People like to imagine a lot of things. I think Jon Jones is an amazing fighter. He is really good, he is so confident and I like him a lot. He is very nice with me and I'm nice with him. But, I don't care about the other belts. I got the heavyweight belt, you know. There is just one baddest man on the planet and I think I am this guy now. So, if he moves up to the heavyweight division, I will think about the fight. If the UFC put him in front of me to challenge me, were going to fight and I will give my best. "

Before we get all riled up at this potential blockbuster fight, both men have pressing matters at hand to tend to.

Jones is currently filming The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 alongside Chael Sonnen, whom he will face in April of next year in what will be his sixth attempt at defending his title.

Dos Santos, meanwhile, will have his hands full against Cain Velasquez at UFC 155 when the two men meet once again in much-anticipated title fight rematch on Dec. 29, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Should this bout see the light of day, it's one that is sure to make Tito Ortiz very happy, as well as many rabid fight fans around the world.

What will be the outcome, Maniacs?
