The official weigh-in event for tomorrow night's (Nov. 2, 2012) Bellator 79 fight card took place today (Nov. 1) at 5 p.m. ET from Casino Rama in Rama, Ontario, Canada.
Of the 18 fighters who stepped on the scales, 17 successfully made weight. Only Christ Franck from the preliminary card failed to reach his contracted limit of 171 pounds, missing the mark by 1.2 pounds. He'll now be fighting at a 173 pound catchweight.

Also appearing on the card will be a featherweight season seven semifinal battle between top prospects Mike Richman and talented Russian Shahbulat Shamhalaev. All four men advanced to the semifinals after first round victories in the quarterfinals.
Rounding out the event will be a pair of welterweight fights featuring potential season eight tournament fighters as Bellator season five welterweight tournament winner Douglas Lima takes on Jacob Ortiz and former MFC standout Ryan Ford battles gritty Appalachian fighter Kyle Baker.
