Which one of these titanic Heavyweight hurters gets back into the 265-pound title hunt?
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 live finale, which was recently made official for "The Joint" at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sat., Dec. 15, 2012, will feature a headlining bout of Shane Carwin vs. Roy Nelson, who currently oppose one another on the FX Channel reality show every Friday night at 10 p.m. ET.
In addition, this season's TUF champion will be crowned in the Welterweight division.
Carwin (12-2) hasn't been seen since a brutal, three round unanimous decision loss to Junior dos Santos back in June 2011. It was s striking clinic from "Cigano" and one that sent his power-punching foe to his second straight loss inside the Octagon.
Prior to his Brazilian beatdown, Carwin let the UFC heavyweight title slip through his fingers after getting choked out by Brock Lesnar in June of 2010.
Time to get back on the horse.
Nelson (17-7) managed to return to the win column with a knockout over Dave Herman at the UFC 146 pay-per-view event back in May. "Big Country" is 4-3 since winning the TUF 10 title, but has yet to beat a top five opponent in his weight class.
Will he make Carwin his stepping stone to bigger and better things within the division?
