Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) castaway Anthony Johnson continues his busy 2012 fight campaign with his World Series of Fighting (WSOF) debut against D.J. Linderman at the promotion's inaugural mixed martial arts (MMA) event, live on NBC Sports Network from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, Nov. 3.
Johnson (13-4) said goodbye to the Octagon after a submission loss to Vitor Belfort back in January; however, since moving up to light heavyweight, "Rumble" has rattled off three straight wins, including back-to-back technical knockout (TKO) stoppages over Esteves Jones and Jake Rosholt under the Titan FC banner.
Linderman (14-3) is also the winner of his last three, having recently put the screws to Dale Mitchell by way of TKO in the second round of their contest for Legacy Fighting Championship last July. "Da Protege" has a well-balanced offense with five submission wins to compliment his four knockouts.
Early predictions?
World Series of Fighting 1 will feature a 265-pound headliner between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski and ex-Strikeforce hopeful Devin Cole while one-time WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres gets back on his horse and rides into battle against Marlon Moraes.
