UFC 155: Joe Lauzon says opponent Gray Maynard is 'not the best finisher'

"I don't think there's anything super specific. I think if you look at his skill set, I don't think he's the best finisher. He hurt Frankie really bad - twice, and he wasn't able to finish him. I think that in all his fights in the UFC he's finished one guy. I'm sure he's trying to finish guys, but he just doesn't happen to be a great finisher.... I feel like there's definitely some things that Gray does very, very well. But like I said before, I don't think finishing is one of them. I think he's gonna be tough. I think he's going to be there for the whole 15 minutes. "

-Joe Lauzon will be taking on his former lightweight castmate of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season five, Gray Maynard, at the loaded UFC 155 event later this year (Dec. 29, 2012). While both men entered the UFC via the same outlet, they bring completely different approaches to the fight game. Lauzon has finished all of his UFC victories and all but one of his UFC fights has failed to go the distance. Maynard? He's gone to a decision in all but one of his UFC wins and in nine of his 12 UFC fights overall. Lauzon wasn't afraid to comment on Maynard's finishing skills in an interview with MMA Fight Corner.
