The hits just keep on coming.
Rising welterweight prospect Rory MacDonald has been booked to test his growing skills against longtime veteran of the fight game, Brian Ebersole. The two will hook 'em up in MacDonald's backyard at UFC 140 on Dec. 10 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Both men last competed at the UFC 133 event on Aug. 6, both picking up wins over Mike Pyle and Dennis Hallman, respectively. They're vastly different career paths will merge this winter with a spot at the top of the 170-pound ladder on the line.
Out with the old, in with the new?
MacDonald is just 22-years-old and widely considered the next big thing in the UFC welterweight division. He's won his last two bouts in impressive fashion and save for a late burnout against Carlos Condit, would be undefeated.
Time for a test against a battle-tested veteran.
That would be Ebersole, who will be nearly a decade older than "Ares" by the time they climb inside the cage to square off. He's also got 50 more fights worth of experience.
But can it carry him to victory, in enemy territory no less? Stay tuned.
UFC 140 is set for Dec. 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There have been many bouts rumored for the event but only John Cholish vs. Mitch Clark has been announced.
